8-Oh so Good

Edward’s POV

“Hi,” I catch my breath she is more beautiful than any photo I’ve seen. Including the one in my desk drawer. “I’m Edward.”

“Kassandra, Kass,” she smiles a little.

Everyone walks away and we are just standing there staring at one another. I don’t know what to do. I want to grab her kiss her, mate her and mark her. But I don’t think that is what she wants. For the first time in my life, I care what a partner wants.

Normally, wolves take over and what happens in the haze is unexpected. But I have really great control of my wolf, and apparently so does Kassandra. We aren’t falling into each other, ripping clothes and kissing with abandon. No we are two adults cautiously figuring out our mates.

“Do you want to talk here or would you like to come to my room?” I ask.

“Are you okay in a Gamma room?” She asks quietly.

“I’m happy wherever you are,” I say surprising even me, I normally would say no.

“Come in,” She steps back and let’s me in.
