Chapter 30

Sebastian looked away from me when our eyes met. He closed his eyes and looked away. Sebastian is acting weird too. He used to smile and always laugh but now he is quiet and impassive.

Jacob's arms on me become tighter but still careful for not hurting me. My hands caressing his back went to his hair and gently caressed it.

"Is there a problem?" I asked softly.

He didn't speak so I just let him think and calm down. After a while, he let go of me and stared at my face. "Is there a problem?" I asked again because I was worried and wondering about his actions now.

That's when I noticed some scars on his face. I frowned and involuntarily raised my hand to caress his scars. "What happened to your face? Where did you get them?" I asked while examining his wounds.

They have subsided but some are still noticeable. Jacob grabbed my hand and stopped me from what I was doing. My eyes were fixed on his hand. I inhaled deeply. If there are many scars on his face, there are more on his hand. H
