“This is beautiful, Chris!” I exclaimed looking around me fascinated.
"I'm glad you like it, honey," he murmured.
I was surprised when I turned and saw him blowing out his breath.
“Did you think I wasn't going to like it?” I asked mockingly, "But if everything I’ve seen is incredible...”
"I always get on my nerves before an opening," he explained with a shrug.
I shook in disbelief as we descended the stairs of that impressive summer "house" Chris had built for his friends and went to the huge, open kitchen that was screaming for me to use it.
But it wasn’t only this house, but also the main house Alex and Abbie would use, because where we were and would sleep, was the humble guest house.
Chris had totally rebuilt it, creating a second floor with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, making my mind ask a thousand questions about how Abbie did all those years without having a bathroom.
