ROBERT'S POV

The news went all around until everyone heard that Beatrice's father was dead.

"What are you going to do about that now, huh?" My father patted my shoulders and tried to get words out of my mouth.

"What do you expect me to do, hug her?"

My dad scoffed. "That would have been possible if you hadn't divorced her." He lit his cigarette.

For heaven's sake, why isn't anyone listening to me?

"I didn't divorce her. She wanted this; how am I supposed to force her to stay with me???" I was getting pissed.

"Just like Eleanor... That's by the way, so what are your plans? Aren't you going back for her? Your money? I mean, now she's vulnerable to anything." Dad winked.

That was actually a good idea, but I don't think...

Someone barged into the room. It was one of the securities; he whispered something to my dad that I was also eager to hear.
