Corvin's POV

I never imagined the Demon Alpha still existed. And to think Vivian had gone to him—not the Outlanders.

A part of me saw red, another felt a strange thrill. Angry that she took such a reckless step. Thrilled that we were finally alone, away from the prying eyes of her attendants and the whispering wolves who wouldn’t approve of this.

"What rules are you talking about?" I asked as we walked.

"I set them. You follow."

"Are you forgetting I’m the one helping here?"

"You weren’t the one who had an earlier conversation with the Demon Alpha, were you?" Her arms folded tight across her chest. A small motion, but sharp enough to make me gulp. She was terrifying in a strangely captivating way.

"Fine," I muttered. "What are the rules?"

"You’ll address me as Alpha Vivian. And if the Demon Alpha asks why, tell him that’s our love language."

I arched a brow. "Our what?"

"Second," she continued, ignoring me, "you shouldn’t try to get all intimate with me just because we’re in his prese
