Chapter 37: Tara’s Pain

I texted my mother that I would be home late before entering the car.

“Let’s head to Laupe’s General Hospital,” I said to my driver, and he immediately started the engine. I leaned to the headboard and closed my eyes. 

I spent my morning at the orphanage, and it almost took my whole day. It’s already three in the afternoon, but yet, I feel relaxed. I can still hear the children giggles and their sweet yet pure smiles lingering inside my mind. They are kind and lovely.

Being with them made my heart at me ease, maybe because my late father loves the orphanage and the children. Something that no one can change. 

I immediately opened my eyes when my cellphone rang. I stared at the phone beside me as it flashed Aki’s name on the screen and answered the call quickly.
