Babatunde had finally made a direct attack and they had not expected it at all. With the dark look on Daegal and Azriel's faces, Naomi immediately knew that they would blame themselves.

Azriel turned to Chief Malon. "Where is your army situated? Are they ready for battle at the moment?"

"No," Malon answered. "They are in their barracks in different areas of the city. We were not expecting a siege. They should not have been able to break through our-"

"Well, they have, Malon. They have. Now get out there and rally your army immediately. As your scouts must have told you, Babatunde's numbers are immense. Go, now!" Daegal ordered and turned to Naomi just as Malon rushed out of the room with the messenger soldier at his heels.

"Azriel, go with him. You are in charge of his army and if he dares to say anything more, remind him who his emperor is."

Azriel nodded and cleared the room.

"How are we going to get our army here? I don't think our dragons can carry more than three at a time,"
