"If you stop now, you'll still have a chance to live!" The voice echoed through the night sky. I stood frozen, almost feeling like I was hallucinating.

Why did that voice sound so much like my father's?

The silver-haired woman, upon hearing "Alpha David is dead," suddenly bent over and coughed up blood.

"Mom!" The boy in her arms clung tightly to her sleeve, but the woman didn't say anything. She just silently patted the boy's head and continued to run forward into the darkness without looking back.

I watched the pale face of the silver-haired woman; she didn't seem like she had much time left.
