"What did you find?" Hayden asked as he pushed Natalia over to the couch. "My men and I spent the entire night looking over the videos of Jon killing the women. We found a piece of mail on the floor, but we couldn't quite make out the address. So we came up with a list of possibilities based on what we could see. I had them check each one. This one is the only one that looks like a hit." Dorian turned the laptop toward them and flipped through the pictures. Natalia gave him a sympathetic smile. "I'm sorry you had to watch those videos all night. It couldn't have been easy." She said, and Dorian shook his head. "No, it wasn't, but hopefully, it will help us in stopping him from murdering anyone else," Dorian answered her with a slight smile. "I don't want to say anything to Dennis. If we can get him ourselves, let's do that. I'm done playing with him." Hayden looked at Natalia, and she was staring at him with concern. "Do you think it's a good idea to take this into
Nick watched as the man and woman walked down the alley. He stared hard at the man's face. Even though it didn't look like Jon, and the hair color was wrong, he had a feeling it was him. He took a picture and sent it to the team chat. Within a few seconds, he received a response that they were on their way. Nick was to stay put near the door once the couple went inside. After he saw the door shut, he walked down the alley and stood off to the side. He listened for any screaming, and so far, he didn't hear anything. He figured the woman was okay for now. Dorian, Kyle, Teo, and Colby showed up less than thirty minutes after Nick messaged them. Luckily the location wasn't far from the hotel where Natalia and Hayden were staying. They met him in the alley with the van. "Are they still inside?" Dorian asked. "Yes. I haven't heard anything, but they could be in an inner room. Even so, if there was screaming, I would have heard it." Nick was sure of it because the alley
"I'm going to make a call. I'll be right back." Dorian stepped out of the room to call Hayden. He couldn't let this woman go home because he was sure Jon would come for her. He also wanted to avoid calling the police and getting them involved. Dorian wanted to ask Hayden what he should do with her. "Hello?" Hayden answered while putting the phone on speaker so Natalia could also hear. "We have a situation. We were right. This is Jon's kill location. However, he had a wire trap set, so it alerted him when we picked the lock. He was able to get away, but we have the girl he'd brought here. Luckily we got in before he had a chance to hurt her. The issue we're having is that he took her phone and wallet when he left, so he has her home address. I'm not comfortable letting her go home when I'm almost certain he's going to come after her." Hayden looked at Natalia. He could tell she was upset they hadn't gotten Jon and concerned for the young woman. "Is she willing to c
To everyone's surprise, Krista shrugged her shoulders as if finding out Jon was in her apartment was not concerning. "I'm glad I'm here with you all rather than at home. If I see him on the street, I may kill him myself. He didn't hurt me, but I can't imagine why he would think someone like you made him a sick freak." Krista said to Natalia. The other woman started laughing. She liked Krista's spunk. "I like you," Natalia said as she took a bite of her pizza. Dorian looked between the two women with disbelief. Where did these women come from? He wasn't used to being around strong women who didn't cry when things didn't go their way. Hayden saw the look on his cousin's face and chuckled. "Dorian, you will learn when it comes to women; they're like puzzles you can never quite figure out," Natalia smirked at him. "We have to be that way to keep men on their toes." She winked at Krista, who giggled while she chewed. Maybe having the near-death encounter with Jon w
"I know I'm safe here, but hearing a direct threat shook me a little," Krista said, still looking at Dorian. He wanted to put an arm around her, but he didn't have the nerve to do it. "We won't let him get near you. At least he doesn't know where you are." Dorian said, trying to calm her. "Can you see where he went after he left my job?" Krista asked, looking back at the screen. Dorian started looking at the cameras again, switching from one camera to the next as Jon walked down the street. The nice thing about New York is that the city has cameras everywhere. Dorian had learned to hack into them long ago and used them many times. Krista was once again impressed by the speed he was able to track Jon. His large fingers flew on the keyboard so fast that sometimes she felt hypnotized. They followed him to a restaurant, where he stopped to get lunch. They saw him waiting to cross the street, and he was in the middle of a crowd when he started to walk in the crosswalk.
"Dorian, are you okay?" Krista asked, looking up at him with concern. He hadn't said anything for a few minutes. He was staring at her as though he was frozen. "What did you say?" He asked, wanting to make sure he heard her correctly. "I said I like you and think we could be great together. Don't worry. I'll give you time to get used to me, and I won't rush you into anything." Krista smiled up at him and saw him look at her in confusion. "Are you messing with me?" He asked with his brows furrowed together. Krista stood on her tiptoes and kissed his cheek. His face immediately turned bright red. "I wouldn't mess with you. You're a nice man, and I'd like to get to know you better," She said. Krista saw his eyes light up, and he broke into a big smile rather than the half smile she'd seen on him before. It made him look even more handsome. "I'd like to get to know you better too. Will you tell me if I say or do anything you don't like?" Dorian asked, already worried
"You think he's going out to find another woman to kill?" Krista asked in disbelief, looking at Natalia with fear in her eyes. "Yes," Natalia answered her. She didn't want to tell Krista he needed someone to take her place since she had gotten away. "Where will he take them? I'm sure he won't go back to the place he had taken me." She felt Dorian take her hand, and she squeezed him in thanks. "It looks like he left your phone in the hotel room, but I'm going to see if we can track him by the cameras. Hayden, are you okay with me slipping Dennis the location of the hotel?" Dorian looked toward his cousin. "Yeah. If Jon feels they are closing in on him, he's bound to make a mistake." Hayden said as he put his arm around Natalia. Dorian took Krista's hand and put it on his arm so he could type with both hands but still have a connection with her. He sent Dennis an anonymous email with Jon's hotel location. He then quickly worked on following him with the cameras. Th
"Please find him, Dorian. I know he's doing this because I got away. Don't let him kill another woman because of me." Krista had tears running down her face. All she could think about was the woman they had seen on camera. Did Jon have her somewhere right now, killing her? Dorian saw the tears on her face, and his heart hurt. He used his thumb and gently wiped them away. He didn't like seeing her cry. "I'll do whatever I can. Don't cry. This isn't your fault. Jon's sick, and he kills because he can. I don't ever want you to think you had anything to do with what he's doing." He put an arm around her and pulled closer. He used his free hand to look at the cameras to try and find where Jon went. His men were also driving around the area looking for them. Dorian had sent them a picture of the woman and how Jon was disguised. His phone started ringing, and he put it on speaker. "What's going on, Colby?" He asked anxiously, feeling Krista tense up against him. "We
