Soon, we were seated in a fancy restaurant that had been closed off just for us. I wouldn’t use the word privacy, because the damn military standing around us made it clear that we would have none.

"Are those people going to be standing there without moving a muscle?" Dad looked at the soldiers standing at attention. “And can we tell them to…ease?”
