Darhl's POV,When I returned downstairs I heard her trying to make breakfast in the kitchen, which made me think of the steaks she grilled last night. She couldn't eat them probably because it was bad, so I went into the kitchen and decided to make her one.She was sitting on the kitchen table, eating her cereal when I walked in."Good morning," I said to her and then she looked at me with furrowed eyebrows while asking what could be good about the morning."What's good about the morning, " she said back annoyance apparent in her voice, but I ignored her.I'm not usually this considerate, but I find myself always letting her off the hook with the kind of attitude she gives me. I headed to the fridge, opened it and took out a pack of steak, and started to prepare it.By the time I finished grilling the meat, she had already finished eating her cereals but she didn't get up to leave. When the meat was done grilling, I removed it from the oven and set the tray in front of me on the table.
Glamour's POV,***Previously..."I've been out for five whole days?" I asked with wide eyes."Uhh, well 8 days if you add the first three days you blacked out for, before waking up for a few minutes only to blackout again," He answered while scratching the back of his neck awkwardly."Shit! what exactly did you do to me," I asked pointing an accusing finger at him.He raised his hands in defence saying"Who? me? I didn't do anything."I watched him closely and was about to say something, but then I heard the door open again and mom and Hamdi walked back in."Are you feeling much better?" mom asked and I nodded before saying."Can we just go home, I don't wanna be here anymore," I announced telling mom exactly what I was feeling."Oh honey, you're married now, remember?" mom said and gestured towards Mr husband before adding "you can't come back home with us anymore unless you're coming to visit," she then smiled before telling me that they are going back home and would be returning i
Glamour's POV,***Previously ***The next morning, I woke up before Maya and got into the shower for a quick hot bath. when I was done, I came back inside the room and put on one of my baggy sweatshirts before going downstairs to greet mom and dad. However, when I dropped down the stairs, the first person I saw was Hamdi, who seems to be returning from a morning run, in his singlets and joggers."Good morning Dee," I greeted."Good morning Munchkin," he answered back and I glared at him because he knew just how much I hated been called that by him, but he just wouldn't listen."Where is mom," I asked him but he only shrugs saying he hadn't seen her this morning.I was about to go back upstairs to go check if mom and dad were in their room but then Hamdi stopped me with a question that I wasn't sure I was going to be able to answer.***chapter begins***"Why did you get married without my knowledge," Hamdi said in a rough voice, and I could hear the feeling of being hurt from his voice
Glamour's POV"Good morning Dad, good morning mom," I said while placing a gentle kiss on both of their foreheads."Good morning honey," mom said while dad also said good morning."Are you feeling any much better," mom asked and I nodded before sitting down on a chair beside dad and directly opposite mom."Have you eaten breakfast yet," Dad asked and I answered with a short "yes."I watched as they both silently finished their meals before turning their entire attention to me."Glamour, " Dad started to say and then paused, but before he would continue, I knew nothing good comes out if my Dad calls me by my name and the look on his face also confirmed my suspicions.I thought about escaping or faking to feel dizzy, but I know my parents would only see through my lies.It was still a shock to me that they couldn't catch on to my lies when I told them I'm getting married to someone they can't meet until the wedding day. Well, the meeting part wasn't a lie, but I had told them I was in l
Glamour's POVI and Hamdi stayed at the lake for a while, my mood going from sad to being happy from watching all the couples that were also at the lake.Hamdi didn't stay out long, he went back into the car to receive a call. I stood by the lake, hugging my hands to myself while watching every other person that was there.I don't know how long I stood by the lake. Hamdi came to stand quietly next to me for a while, before asking me where I met Darhl.I was quiet for a while because I don't know if I could tell him the truth about where I met him. Well, technically I met him on the day I was getting married because that night at the club I only saw him from a distance and not met him."When did you guys meet, how long have you been keeping him a secret," Hamdi spoke again after I didn't answer for a while.I know I couldn't tell him we met just a few weeks ago, because then I would have to tell him why I'm getting married to someone I met less than a month ago because then I'll have t
Third persons POV.Dhar was shocked beyond measures after listening to what the parents of the girl he married had just told him.He thought he knew everything there is to know about her, but apparently, he must have been mistaking. He had never imagined her to have gone through something like that. She must have been someone strong, to be able to move on like nothing happened, he thought to himself suddenly feeling a little apologetic to her.He didn't know why her parents told him about it, even though they had never really held a real conversation with him before. However, he surmised that maybe they felt a sense of security after they saw how he treated their daughter while she was sick."Dhar," the girl's mother had called him slowly when they entered into their sitting room, and he turned to look at the woman and saw the dark circles that had formed under her beautiful eyes because of all the crying she had been doing for a few days now."Yes," he answered shortly and turned to
Third persons POV,Larry and his friends were a bunch of college students who had come for research purposes into the mountain, the mountain of Ula, they were going to document everything about what they found in the mountains. So when they came closer to the cave where Dhar laid, Larry was the first to ask them to go in."It would be a great point for the whole project," Larry said trying to convince the other college students but they weren't having it."Oh, yeah, why don't you go in and document it yourself am sure you will be getting a good 'A'" A guy dressed in baggy jeans and a leather jacket taunted Larry and the rest bursts into fits of laughter and they all left, leaving Larry all alone.Dhar who laid on the rock inside the cave had already gotten up and was standing just at the mouth of the cave watching all the college students from where he stood.Larry felt a little sad, he thought being bullied was only until high school, he didn't know he would still be bullied by his c
Third person's POV,"Glamour," A dangerously low voice asked into the phone, and Glamour felt a cold shiver run down her entire body.It was him, of course, what was I thinking, picking up a call from a strange number, Glamour thought to herself. So she remained quiet for a while not sure if she wanted to be on a call with him or not.But for some reason, she couldn't end the call, it was almost like she was in a trance that she couldn't get out of.What are you doing, end the call already, her subconscious scolded, but she couldn't, and then he spoke again,"Hope you're fine now," He asked again and this time around she couldn't remain quiet."I'm fine," Glamour said in a small voice."Why am I sounding so small," she asked herself in her head as it felt new to her, but then she was reminded of what transpired between her and her parents.Knowing that he knew a deeper weakness about her was making Glamour feel small, and even though she despised it, she still couldn't help but sound
