Adrian

The drive back to Emma’s place was quiet, the only sound was her soft humming along to whatever was playing on the radio. Her voice was barely above a whisper, but somehow it was enough to pull my attention.

I kept catching myself watching her instead of the road. The way her fingers tapped lightly against her thigh without her noticing, the small smile resting on her lips, her eyes shut like she was somewhere far away and happy. It got to me in a way I wasn’t ready for.

Emma The sound of an engine outside made me pause with the mascara wand halfway to my lashes. It wasn’t the sound I was used to hearing from his car.Curiosity got the better of me, and I hurried to the window, pulling back the curtain just enough to peek through. My jaw nearly hit the floor when I saw a sleek black limousine parked right in my driveway.A chauffeur in a crisp black-and-white suit stepped out and opened the back door.Adrian emerged in a charcoal-grey suit, his hair styled the same way it had been the night before, except this time he had a pair of sunglasses on that made him look like he owned every inch of the city.My phone rang from the dressing table, and I rushed over, silently praying it wasn’t my mom again. Instead, Adrian’s name lit up the screen. I answered instantly, a smile tugging at my lips as I pressed the phone to my ear and hurried back to the window just to get another look at him.“A limousine?” was the first thing out of my mouth. He smirked, his

  • Craving The Playboy's Touch    Unknown number

EmmaThere was a huge white box neatly placed on my doorstep and tied with a pink silk ribbon. The packaging alone made it look like it had come straight out of some luxury store.I picked it up and carried it inside, nudging the door shut with my leg before dropping it onto the couch. When I lifted the lid, the first thing I saw was a $5000 receipt lying right on top. I rolled my eyes and let out a chuckle as it was typical of Adrian to do such a thing. He’d left it there on purpose, just to make sure I knew exactly how much he’d spent.I set the receipt aside and pushed back the layers of tissue paper on the dress, my breath actually caught for a second. The dress was folded underneath, soft and expensive under my fingers. I was so curious to check out what it looked like that I quickly lifted it out and held it up in front of me, unfolding all the way to the floor. It was so gorgeous. It has a deep, rich color that I already knew would look great on me and it was the kind of dress

The way her fingers tapped lightly against her thigh without her noticing, the small smile resting on her lips, her eyes shut like she was somewhere far away and happy. It got to me in a way I wasn’t ready for.For the first time in longer than I could remember, I didn’t feel that pull to reach over and touch her. Just sitting there watching her was enough on its own, and the second I realized that, it scared me a little. Her eyes suddenly opened and she glanced over, and I snapped my gaze back to the road, pretending I’d been focused the whole time.“So,” she said, breaking the silence, “what exactly am I supposed to wear to this lunch at your dad’s place?”Her timing was terrible, since I was still trying to pull m

  • Craving The Playboy's Touch    Rejecting the past

EmmaThe laugh died in my throat when I heard a feminine voice behind me calling Adrian’s name. I turned around in my seat and saw someone around my age, strutting towards our table like the restaurant was her runway. She wore a short sexy black dress that showed off legs that seemed to go on forever, her dark hair falling loose over one shoulder, and she carried herself with a confidence like she knew exactly how good she looked.I glanced back at Adrian and caught the strained smile on his face, and that told me everything I needed to know. He knew her, and he knew her well. Whatever history they had, it had to be the playboy in him that put it there. She reached our table and walked right past me like I was part of the furniture, stopping at his chair without so much as a glance in my direction.“I almost didn’t believe it was really you. It’s been a long while” she said, her voice all breath.“I’ve been busy.”She laughed softly and rested a hand on the back of his chair, leaning

  • Craving The Playboy's Touch    Golden Retriever.

AdrianEmma sat across from me at one of the classiest restaurants in the city, at a corner table I’d asked for specifically because it had the best view in the whole place. She hadn’t stopped talking since the moment we sat down, replaying every detail of the concert like I hadn’t been sitting beside her for all of it, and kept swiping back through the pictures she’d taken with Seraphina, zooming in on them like she still couldn’t believe they were real. I didn’t interrupt her once. There was this constant sparkle in her eyes with every word she said, and all of it traced back to me, to one decision I’d made about where to take her tonight. Then she stopped mid-sentence, her gaze shifting into something curious.“Are you okay?” she asked.Oh, shit.I blinked and looked off to the side. I’d been staring at her for far too long without blinking, with a smile on my face I hadn’t even known was there.I leaned back in my seat and slipped into my usual self. “Uh, yeah. I…”I was still sc

  • Craving The Playboy's Touch    Please take me right here.

Adrian’s POVI’d always known Emma as my sister’s best friend, and I was more than surprised when I found out the person Allysia was getting married to was Emma’s boyfriend. To be honest, I’d never liked that scumbag. It was crazy to me, but I hadn’t bothered to go through the trouble of informing

  • Craving The Playboy's Touch    Want him badly.

Emma’s POVHe drove fast through the estate gates like he was in some kind of racing competition. It was hard to enjoy the perfectly lit garden view that flashed past the window as we sped toward the main building. It was a massive, modern-style palace standing all by itself. He finally parked in f

  • Craving The Playboy's Touch    Tired of being the”good girl”.

Emma’s POVAdrian didn’t say a word as he drove, keeping his eyes focused on the road while his hands stayed steady on the wheel. He shifted gears and pulled out of the parking lot, heading away from the building where my life had just fallen apart. I leaned back and turned my head toward the side

  • Craving The Playboy's Touch    Hot Spicy Barbecue Wings

Emma’s POVI turned around and started to hurry away from the room; I didn’t wait for their response. There was no point in facing those two shameless assholes I’d trusted all my life. The painful ache in my heart was surprisingly gone now, replaced by a flaming fury that threatened to explode in m
