Gabrielle stood up and walked out of the eatery. Brian followed her.

"Gabby, you need to trust me, would you?" Brian asked. Gabrielle shook her head.

"He used my money and rewarded me with a bodyguard. I'm going there now!" Gabrielle tried to go, Brian laughed and pulled her back.

"Listen, Gabby, you must call your sister tomorrow and tell her everything. Come with me," he said.

"To where?" Gabrielle asked.

"My house, to change my clothes. You said I'm smelling awhile ago."

Gabrielle looked around and hesitated.

"Go, I'll wait here." Gabrielle walked back to the eatery and sat down. Brian shrugged his shoulders and began to walk in the direction of his house. Gabrielle came out and ran after him. He stood still and waited when he saw her coming.

Gabrielle was expecting him to ask why she changed her mind. He never did.

"I saw one of my lodge mates."

"Oh, okay."

They walked silently through a lonely path and got to his house. It was an old building. The building had just one room. His mother and sisters lived there too.

They were worried he did not visit home last night and he was the breadwinner of the house. They had to go to bed without food. His sisters were still in high school and had nothing to contribute. His blind mother hardly goes out without assistance.

His younger sister, Rita quickly got a chair for her. The girls were happy to see their brother with a girl.

"Brian, where have you been? Last night we waited for you and these girls went to bed without food. This morning, they bought noodles on credit," his mother said as he walked out of the room with a long stick.

"Good evening, ma," Gabrielle greeted. The middle-aged woman stretched her hand to touch the owner of the lovely voice she heard. Gabrielle moved closer and she touched her.

"Brian, who is she?" The woman smiled.

"She is my friend," Brian responded and entered the room. Gabrielle tried to look inside the room, but it was very dark.

"My daughter, what is your name?" The woman ignored her son and focused on Gabrielle.

"My name is Gabrielle Williams," Gabrielle responded.

"Oh, you are welcome. Thank you for bringing him back home." The woman smiled. "I was scared when I didn't see him last night. He is all we have. He is our father and mother." The woman smiled again.

Brian came out from the small house and waved at his immediate younger sister who leaned on the door, stealing appreciative glances at Gabrielle and their mom.

She entered the small house following his brother's signal. They came out of the house after some minutes.

"Mom, I'm going?" He announced adjusting his belt.

"I hope you gave your sisters enough money, we...don't know when next we will see you." The woman said with a shaky voice.

Brian began to walk away without responding to his mother. Gabrielle dipped her hand in her pocket and squeezed out some money. She put it on her palm and closed the palm. Brian's mother smiled broadly. She ran after Brian who had almost gone far.

He halted when he heard her footsteps. Gabrielle looked at the cloth he changed, she regretted ever telling him to change the first one. They walked silently to Bangkok lodge.

"Your sisters are pretty," Gabrielle said to break the long silence.

"Thank you."

"Did you bathe at the site?" Gabrielle asked.

"Yes"

"Are you sure you don't want to bathe?" Gabrielle asked again. He shook his head and she shut her door. She had some spaghetti left in her pot, Gabrielle dished some out for him, but he declined.

She ate the food and climbed onto her bed. Brian lay on the floor without a pillow. Gabrielle threw one of her pillows at him.

All the occupants of Bangkok lodge were woken up by a noise that was heard outside the gate. The people ran out with their nightwear. Brian came out wearing only his denim and white singlet. The zip of his denim was open and his belt was also loose. Gabrielle stood behind him with her light and see-through nightwear.

One of the twins in room four slept in her crush's lodge. Her crush's girlfriend came back from night class and chased her out of the boy's room. She fought the girl without clothes on and after that she began to walk home unclad. People who saw her tried to help her, but she turned them down.

People thought she had gone insane and followed her to know where she was going. The caretaker opened the gate and she entered. He locked the gate to prevent people from flooding the lodge.

The people who were tall enough looked through the fence. Mike was one of the people that could look. He could not believe his eyes.

"S..ma...llie...na...here...you live?" Mike called out.

Gabrielle turned and walked back into her room, Brian followed her. He was adjusting his denim as he walked.

Mike jumped the fence when the caretaker refused to open the gate for him. He began to knock on all doors.

Gabrielle opened her door when he knocked on her door. Mike fixed his gaze on her breast. Her nightwear was light and transparent. One could easily see through it, but she was not bothered since the caretaker said Brian was gay.

Gabrielle roll her eyes down and could not believe how much her breast could be seen from her nightwear. She quickly folded her arms on her breast.

"Smallie, what are you doing in this Sodom? Is your sister aware that you live here? And what is Manga doing in your room with his pant unzipped?"

"I told you I will explain everything to you today. You want to come inside?"

Mike licked his lips and looked at her.

"Gabby are you sleeping with this tout?" Gabrielle kept quiet and was staring at him.

"Mike, are you coming inside or not?"

Mike entered her room and stood staring at Brian who lay on the floor with his eyes closed.

Mike sat on the chair and fixed his gaze on Gabrielle and the sexy nightwear she wore.

"Mike, you need to go now, I'll see you in the school block," Gabrielle said when his steady gaze began to make her uncomfortable.

He pulled the phone closer and stared at the caller, it was Agatha, her best friend. She reluctantly picked up the call. Agatha had never failed to call her since she put to bed six weeks ago. "Gabby, your baby's picture is garnering attention on social media. You need to add your maiden name to your name. Felicia…you remember her right?" Agatha asked. "Yes," Gabrielle responded with a low tone. She could not believe her friend woke her up because of her baby's pictures she uploaded on social media. "She said our friends have a group chat but no one knows your whereabouts. Please add your maiden so they will find you. Do it now and call me back," Agatha said and hung up. Gabrielle added her maiden name just as her friend suggested and tossed the phone aside. She stood up and checked the time, it was a few mi

"Do you remember the first day we met?" Brian asked, staring into her eyes. Gabrielle nodded with a smile. "I fell in love with you that day, but I felt we will never be together. Mike was very smart and intelligent. He figured out I'm in love with you and called me dateless love.""Dateless as in timeless?""He meant I would never date you. You are beyond my league.""I never knew how much I loved you until I watched the cops take you away. My heart broke into pieces. I cried, but you didn't notice. "I did and I felt bad. I would have avoided the fight.""What happened when you left?" Gabrielle asked. "I was detained and set free after some days. I had no money to clear the outrageous hospital bills Mike's family gave me, I had to sell the land. I regretted not selling it earlier and established myself. When I remembered the business I ventured into was your idea, I knew everything happened at the right time. I wouldn't have invested the money wisely if I hadn't met you.""Which i

"Agatha, please…""Do you think I'll let you walk out of that door without telling me what happened?" Agatha asked. Gabrielle took the baby and began to dress him up. "I saw his father," she whimpered. "I'm booking a same-day flight to Pretoria. Phillip has been begging me to marry him, I think I'm ready to marry him," Gabrielle said. "Whose father?" Agatha asked. "Brian's father.""Whoo!" Agatha screamed happily. "Finally!" Agatha continued screaming. Gabrielle ignored her and lifted her baby and began to walk towards the door. "Wai..wai…wait!
