Moving Out

The village elder was standing at the edge of the door when I gave him a quick glance.

"After they are done, instruct the shaman and Aldo to leave the herbs at the entrance. Any interruptions are not welcome."

The village head nodded vigorously. "I understand, Young Master."

I spun around to face Roland.

"I'm wondering how much of my life I'm going to lose. I'm conducting this experiment to see how much life span I might sacrifice the next time I invoke God's Hand."

In order to minimize the suffering Roland would experience, I focused mana onto my finger before pushing it in his direction. My mana flooded into his mana channels, and he began to breathe a little more frequently.

A groan came from Roland's mouth as he winced. I used healing magic to mend the obvious wounds and gradually repaired the fractured bones.

I would slather a lump of crushed herbs on a healed wound to act as a sedative as soon as it was possible.
