Cassandra’s POV

I didn’t know what to say. This had completely come out of left field.

“You want to what?” I asked, staring at Jordyn in disbelief. I couldn’t wrap my mind around why he would possibly want to merge our companies. His company was huge, and way more successful than ours. It didn’t make any sense. Not to mention that the fact that he was in the PR and media space, and we were in fashion design. It had made sense to collaborate, since we both had something to offer for that particular project. But an actual merge?

“Just think about it,” he said. “Our company could give you the media advantage you need. And all the PR. And in turn, we could rebrand and become a fashion powerhouse.”

“I don’t understand,” I told him, my arms still crossed. “You want o rebrand your company and advertise Hot House Flower exclusively? But why?”

Jordyn looked away for a moment. I caught another whiff of his body odor, and tried not to wince. Jesus, when was the last time he had a bath. He really

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 425: Beach Bonfire

Cassandra’s POV It bothered me that Dillon didn’t join us for the beach bonfire. Of course it did. But I tried not to show it. I think it bothered Cam a bit too, since Dillon was his best friend. As soon as we got to the beach, Jordyn set about building a massive bonfire. There was a chill in the air, exacerbated by the cold breeze blowing off the ocean. The beach was vacant though, and we had it all to ourselves. The plan was to sip champagne and wait for the sun to come up. The last time I’d watched the sun rise had been during Dillon’s proposal in the hot air balloon. As the fire crackled, I couldn’t help but think back to the proposal. I’d been so happy, happier than I ever thought I could be. And now things were off between Dillon and me, and he wanted space. I was sure we could fix it. I didn’t know how, but we were too important to each other and we loved each other very much. Relationships can’t be perfect all the time. T

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 424: It Might Be My Last

Cassandra’s POV I avoided Dillon for the rest of the night, but I plastered a smile on my face for Stella. Dillon and I could sort everything out later. I was sure of it. In the meantime, I had to do my best to have as much fun as I could for the rest of the night. So I slammed back a glass of champagne and hit the dance floor with Jordyn and Cameron. Laura kept lurking around Dillon, but I never saw them alone together for the rest of the night. I HATED that Laura had born witness to our fight. She’d see it as an opportunity to get closer to Dillon. But I couldn’t think about that right now. Stella and Cam cut the wedding cake, and just like out of a movie, she smeared icing all over his face. Which prompted him to chase her, right outside, into the snow. The band played on. People danced. People ate. People drank. I managed to put everything aside and just enjoy what was left of the evening. Even though I felt a stab

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 423: Space

Cassandra’s POV My blood felt cold and there were shivers running up and down my spine. “No.” “Yes.” Jordyn and I said those words at exactly the same time. I felt Jordyn grip my shoulder even tighter. I’d said yes; he’d said no. “Well which is it?” Dillon asked. He was surprisingly calm given the circumstances. I was in shock. Sebastian had texted me? How? Where had he gotten my number? I could only assume that Blaire must have given it to him. But I never, in a million years, expected him to text me. And today of all days. I’d gone through great lengths to ensure that Stella’s wedding day was as stress-free and fun as possible. But now Dillon had seen a text from Sebastian, and I felt everything crumbling around me. “She didn’t cheat on you,” Jordyn said, his voice also calm and steady. “Is that true?” Dillon asked. I didn’t know what to say. Technically, I hadn’t

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 422: Yes. No.

Dillon’s POV I was gutted. I opened my mouth to speak, but just then, the lights went out. “Come. This way,” I heard Laura whisper in the darkness. I felt her tugging at my pajama shirt. Then I heard a door creak open. I followed her blindly, and when the lights came back on only moments later, we were in a hallway. “I need to go back,” I said. But she shook her head. “No, you need to vent. You need to sort through that text message. And you need to come to terms with the fact that Cassandra did something in Paris that she shouldn’t have done. Do you really want to do all of that in there? With all those people around?” I didn’t. I felt like I was on the verge of tears, as well as on the verge of hitting something. “It’s your best friend’s wedding,” Laura said. “Come for a walk with me. Give yourself a moment to calm down and clear your head. I can’t make you feel better, but I can help you get yo

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 421: The Text

Dillon’s POV I felt like I’d been sucker punched in the stomach. The evidence was clear. Cassandra had met someone in France named Sebastian. He called her ‘his siren’. He was waiting for her. Until hell froze over if he had to, apparently. He had her phone number. And she hadn’t mentioned a single thing about him. Every fibre in my being wanted to confront her then and there. She knocked on the bathroom door. “You ready?” she asked. “They’re waiting for us.” I couldn’t confront her now. Not right before Stella and Cameron’s reception. It wouldn’t be fair to Stella and Cameron, and lord knows they’d gone through enough. The last thing I wanted to do was ruin their wedding. So I decided to do my best to push the thought out of my head. I would confront her tomorrow, when the wedding was over. Turns out, I couldn’t shake it, no matter how hard I tried. I was plagued by the text. It ran t

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 420: Cassandra’s Phone

Dillon’s POV I couldn’t believe it started raining right in the middle of their vows. Like, really? But even more unbelievable was the way in which Stella just laughed, as though it was all just a big joke. We couldn’t help but laugh along. If the bride wasn’t going to lose her shit over the rain, then we sure as hell weren’t going to either. The photo shoot turned out to be a blast. It was actually a lot of fun, taking pictures in the rain, sopping wet. Of course, during the entire ceremony and photo shoot, I couldn’t help but think about Cass and I. We couldn’t really start planning our wedding yet, not with Stella being sick and all. But when I saw Cassandra walking down the aisle, I imagined what she would look like in her own bridal gown. She was breathtakingly beautiful, even when her hair was wetter than a drowned rat’s from the rain. When it was our turn to take our pics, I brushed the wet hair from Cassandra’s face and l
