Chapter 11 : Forgotten

The next day Val woke up at six and did her morning routine then went to check on Jack. He is still sleeping, curled up in the sofa. He didn't fit on the couch because he is 5'11 but the couch is just 5, even so he slept there.

It's Sunday and Val usually spends all her Sundays with her parents but today that's not gonna happen. She should call her dad to inform him that she couldn't make it today. God she is going to lie to her dad for the first time and that too because of Jack.

Val is close with her parents. She shares everything with her dad from her suitors to her work life. Sometimes she also imitates how they proposed her and how she reacted after that. But she didn't tell them about Jack. She herself don't know why. She returned to her room to call her dad.

"Good morning honeybee." came Ian's cheerful voice from the other end of the call which brought genuine smile on Val's face.

"Good morning dad. How are you?" asked Val laying on her bed.
