CHAPTER TEN: THE ULTIMATUM

MARCUS’ POV

It has been three days since Seraphina sent that text.

Dylan hasn't returned and no one seemed to know where he was. His friends weren't helpful at all. Instead, they were worried they had gotten into some kind of trouble.

She broke my rules.

She let him touch her?

No, I was letting my list cloud my brains. She said she went back to him. Like a relationship.

I looked around the office, infuriated that there's nothing to smash.

Someone knocked hard on my door. Finally, a distraction.

“Come in,” I commanded. The smell of vanilla and strawberry filled the room, making my mouth water immediately.

“Seraphina,” I got up and walked towards her. She wore a low rise jean today with a small halter top. ‘Hi, Marcus.”

Her voice was like a bucket of cold water getting thrown on me. “What do you want?” My voice was etched with anger.

Seraphina blinked at me, then gestured to the empty chair. I dragged it out for her as she sat.

“I really need your help,” she

  • Don't Stop, Coach Daddy    CHAPTER FIFTY ONE

CHAPTER FIFTY ONESera’s POV I ran into the waiting cab, tears stinging in the back of my eyes. “Hello Coach,” I said into my phone. “Just checking to see if you saw my calls. Funniest thing ever, the host told me something that I find hard to believe. Can you call me please, bye.”I ended the voicemail. “To the lecturer's quarters,” I told the cab man, settling back against the seat. I was so confused and my mind was a mess. I opened my phone and sent a text quickly to Romeo. “Hey, are you attending the Mayor's Tournament?”He replied quickly. “Yeah, Coach got us all tickets. Have you taken yours?”This bitch. Just when I thought she was being genuine. “Not yet.”Romeo typed and stopped, then the bubbles appeared again. “Maybe it is a mistake. You know, she kinda forgets stuff a lot.”Oh, I was sure of it. How convenient to always forget Sera, yet she acted so humble this morning.“Are you coming?”“No,” I texted back. “Need to think.”Romeo sent me a thumbs up and I put my phone o

  • Don't Stop, Coach Daddy    CHAPTER FIFTY

CHAPTER FIFTYSeraphina's POVAgatha forgot to inform me the match was today.“What the fuck?” I groaned. Romeo came to my side, an extra large cup of coffee in his hands and I clutched it greedily, slurping down the sweet caramel drink. “What the fuck?” I repeated.“Yeah, crazy yeah?”There were a host of reporters in our training center, with large vans and their equipment. No wonder Agatha parked at the back of the building, she probably knew I would have fled. The culprit easily separated herself from me, to go talk to some other coaches.“Who are we up against?” I asked, drinking from the cup again. “Some prep school. They are Chinese and they won the nationals three years ago.”Fuck me.“Okay.”“Seraphina,” Agatha called for me. I smiled as I approached her, looking at the men she was flanked by. “This is our star, and she will be representing our team today.”“Wonderful,” the Chinese man said, stretching his hand out for me. I took it, still curious about Agatha’s play. “We're

CHAPTER FORTY-NINESeraphina’s POV“Fuck,” I groaned, rolling in bed. What time was it? I opened one eye and looked around for my phone, searching through the sheets. I grabbed it and put it on. “9 am?” I needed more sleep, I felt like I had been run over by a truck.I tugged the blanket over my head, I looked at the phone. The e-mail I got from Coach Agnes stared at me, but I swiped it away. This was the weekend, anything she wanted with me could wait till Monday.Right now, I need caffeine.I took a quick shower and wrapped my towel around my waist. The apartment was so much quieter now, ever since Mika left. Sometimes, I missed her, but knowing that her bubbly personality was just a mask helped me get over those feelings quickly. My eyes fell on Jennifer's library card. “Ive git to return this,” I muttered,” changing into a pair of jeans and a tank top. It looked sunny outside, so, I did not bother grabbing a jacket, instead, wearing a pair of dicks and uggs Dylan had gotten me fo

CHAPTER FORTY EIGHTSera’s POVMarcus placed the last tray back in the box. “...and we're done,” he said, closing it up.“Wow,” I stared at the big mason jar. “I didn't realize bees made this much honey.”“Mmmh,” he replied. “Okay, time for the next thing on my apology to you,” he grinned. “Oh, this was all a plan?”“Yeah, I have so much to make up for. This is just the start.” He said it so surely, my tummy did flip backs. “Geez,” I said.Marcus set the kader back down into the attic. “Ma’am,” he bowed slightly.“Please, you just want to start at my ass again,” I replied, holding the jar close to me as I passed him. “Well,” he said, “I can be a gentleman and still want to stare at you.”I climbed down quickly and waited for him in his attic. “So, you're not gonna tell me what's next? Or do I have to beg.”He opened the door to his room. “Up next, is waffles.”My tummy chose that point to grumble at the mention of food. “Sorry,” I apologized, my face hot. “I did not eat breakfast.”M

  • Don't Stop, Coach Daddy    CHAPTER FORTY-SEVEN

CHAPTER FORTY-SEVENSera’s POVMorning couldn't come quickly enough. I needed that extra credit so badly I woke up early for my morning jog, and I was the first in class.During recess, I walked briskly to Professor Curtis's office. “Professor,” I called, knocking on the wooden door.“Come in.” His head was buried in some books as I walked in. He lifted his head slightly. “Ah, Seraphina,” he breathed. “Do you have something for me?”“As a matter of fact, I do. The student supplying drugs to Carly is a boy called Danny,” I informed him, not bothering to sit down.“You found that out pretty quickly,” Professor Curtis said.“I had motivation,” I shrugged. “Should I write down his room number?”“Yes please,” he pushed a notepad close. “Thank you so much for your efficiency, Miss. Kane.”“So,” I straightened. “Do I get the extra credit now?”He smiled briefly. “Yes, I always keep my promises. However, you are a bright student, Miss Kane. Let's put in a bit more effort into our school work,

  • Don't Stop, Coach Daddy    CHAPTER FORTY-SIX

CHAPTER FORTY-SIX Sera’s POVThe next days are slow, as I focused on attending classes and gaming. Luckily for me, Agatha is missing from all our trainings, so I actually had fun with my teammates. Campus settled beautifully into the fall and Christmas was already around the corner.Soon, exams would start and I was already feeling like I had gotten back on my academics at a nice pace. Jennifer still blew up my phone about what I approached her for, but ignoring her was easier this time. I had to find another way to get the money for Marcus, but first, I needed that extra credit. After a rough day of school, I walked down the lobby leading to the cafeteria, when something caught my eye. “Hmmm,” I whispered, stopping in front of the flyer. “What is this?”I tore it off and brought it closer to my face. “Special study groups,” I read, skimming through the words. “Only at night, in the renovated library.”“Well that's suspicious,” I said to myself. The renivated library was not open to
