Confusing

My mouth wants to drop to the floor in shock as Kingsley is speaking, but I stop myself.

In a panicked moment I lied to try to save my ass even though I knew it wouldn't be useful once Kingsley told his side of the story, but in an unexpected twist of fate, Kingsley is telling... the exact same lie I told.

How can that be possible?

'Its because he's ours. We're connected.' Says my wolf. And for the first time I actually think: maybe? Because it's amazing how accurate we both were with the facts. With the lies. David can't shut his mouth either, I feel like he's even more shocked than me.

I love that Kingsley is taking my side instead of his because if it were the other way around I don't know how I would be reacting right now.

"Oh," Miss Bently says when King finishes, frowning. I'm sure she expected me to be the one lying, "David, I'm truly disappointed in you. You know that challenging someone is not something to take lightly. It's a very, very serious matter. I have t
