When It Happened

"I'm sorry, too," I mutter under my breath because something inside me tells me I should. It's not every day that Laurent acts so mature, so it's only fair that I do too.

Laurent nods but doesn't say anything else, he just kisses my chest again before lifting his face and giving me another kiss on the lips.

This kiss is different from the kisses we've been giving each other these past couple of days; it's slow, careful and deep, but more importantly, it doesn't make me feel in betrayal with myself for kissing the enemy. My wolf is happy too, he likes that Laurie has apologized to me so sincerely, now he feels we can forgive him.

That I understand, I can definitely forgive him and we can even be friends at some point... still, I don't want to tie my life with his. It’s not that serious.
