CHAPTER 20: The New Change.

A few weeks later.

Erica had made a decision that she would not dwell on her feelings for Professor Sebastian and just focus on her studies. She attended classes, paid close attention to every detail in class, and submitted her assignments on time.

While in the lecture hall, Professor Sebastian called Erica and asked her a question concerning a particular historical event.

“Erica I want you to tell me the causes of the American Revolution,” he said as he folded his hands, waiting for her response.

Erica straightened up in her chair, knowing that this was a tough question. But she had done her reading and was ready to answer.

“Ahem! There were a number of causes that led to the American Revolution, sir,” she began. “First, there was the issue of taxation. The British government was imposing heavy taxes on the American colonies without giving them any say in the matter. This made the colonists angry and resentful.”

“Hmmm….”

He nodded, listening intently. “Go on,” he encouraged her.
