"Since you don't believe us, I suggest a paternity test. You will know then whether our words are true or not." Frustrated with the unending argument, I realized that only scientific evidence would convince Lianna.

Lianna fell silent upon hearing my suggestion. Her pale face indicated her shock. She probably expected Jethro to come back to her after seeing the child, not expecting things to turn out so differently.

"This is the only solution. Only with a paternity test will you know if Robin is mine. If he is, I’ll take responsibility. But if the test proves otherwise, then please stay out of our lives," Jethro added firmly, suggesting he was confident that the child wasn't his. This eased my mind considerably.
