Chapter 15

Emma POV

I suddenly felt a tap on my body, I fluttered my eyes open and saw Grace kneeling beside me, I squinted my eyes closed groaning before opening them again. I sluggishly sat up, stretching my body like a wild cat.

“Good morning Emma,” Grace said and I smiled

“Good morning,” I said and stood up from the bed we sleep on, I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. When I was done, I came back outside to meet Grace, we left the room and proceeded with our daily chores.

I was busy cleaning the windows while Grace was mopping the floor, we made jokes and laughed at our silly jokes. It helps us work faster and forget about stressful the work can be.

Our smile died down when I saw the manor lady keeper Josephine walking towards us with two bodyguards, I know something good hardly comes out of her when she works in such serious steps.
