Stacy’s POV

I have decided to spend the whole day with my mum in the hospital.

“Mum, you’re finally awake,” I said.

“Yes but I feel weak,”

“Sorry mum, you’ll be strong again soon, I’m sure after the surgery things will be a lot better.”

“Thank you sweetheart,” she responded,

“So I have decided to spend the whole of today with you, we haven’t really had our mother and daughter time in a while, I really miss it mom,” I said.

“Yes, I miss our moments too Stacy, I don’t want to be sick also baby. I really tried to be strong but I guess the sickness was bigger than my will,” she said weakly, almost in tears.

“It's okay mom, I know,” I said, trying not to cry also.

“So what would you like us to talk about?” I asked,

“Anything, tell me how life has been lately,” she said.

“Hmmm, life has just been life, going to work then coming here that’s all I've been doing you know my life isn’t all that eventful.” I narrated.

“I’m sorry my sickness is taking a toil on you,” she said in a sad voice.
