Alexander POV

Khloe stood rigid unsure of what to do after I had abandoned her. The main secret to the game was to seek out a simple word before the opponent got his answer.

I shouldn't have made her play such a game. She was so clueless and it irked me to see her unmotivated or determined to find an answer.

The other paper she had disposed of had the answers as I had made it possible. But she foolishly thought that I was being a tease. Well, she was all alone and she was going to find the missing puzzle by herself.

Her time was ticking, it was only a matter of a few minutes before the game ended. She turned back to look at me and I could see how desperate she was.

The sight of seeing her in need made me feel refreshed with wickedness. Teasing her later would be worthwhile but for now, she had to win because I placed a lot of money on her and there was no way I was going to let Fletcher beat me.
