He really dotted on Emily and even came to pick a dress for her himself. Barbara mocked herself bitterly. When had he ever been so considerate to herself in the past? She was ready to brush past him with a deadpan look, but Dexter stopped her

He stared at her and said, "I want to hear your explanation"

"What?" Barbara was stunned

"Barbara, why did you ask Kinsey to say that?"

Barbara only realized now that Dexter probably heard what Kinsey said to Emily and came here to confront her. She remained silent and felt a chill in her heart. She was ready to leave but Dexter grabbed her hand, "I won't allow you to bully my woman!"

"Sir, what do you want!" Barbara didn't even bother to say his name.

"Apologize! I want you to apologize to Emily" Dexter clutched Barbara's hand, his fingers turning a little pale. The apathy in Barbara's eyes struck his nerve. She treated him like a total stranger after three years. How heartless could this woman be?
