Anna's Pov

"I started building my own company, pouring my heart and soul into it. And you know what? I succeeded. I proved my father wrong, and I proved to myself that I was capable of greatness."

I felt a surge of anger towards his father, but I kept my tone calm and supportive. "That's not true, Harvey. You're an amazing person, and your accomplishments speak for themselves.

You've built a successful company, and you're pursuing a law degree at Oxford. You should be incredibly proud of yourself."

I emphasized each point, hoping to counteract the negative self-talk that had been ingrained in him for so long.

Harvey smiled weakly, his eyes still haunted by the past. "Thanks, Anna. That means a lot coming from you.

But it's hard to shake off the feeling of not being good enough, even after all these years." His words were a poignant reminder that the scars of childhood can take a long time to heal.

I reached out and took his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.
