Chapter 6

I comforted my mom and asked her to sleep with me.

She agreed and we were soon as asleep on the bed, snoring.

It had been quite a fearsome and tiring day for me. I was very tired. 

The next day, I woke up and did not find mom beside me.

I was scared at first but then heard cooking noises coming from the kitchen. I was relieved.

I got up from bed and then went to the bathroom to take a bath.

When I came out of the bathroom I found my clothes lying on my bed. It looked like training attire.

"Mom, why have you kept these clothes here instead of my office attire," I shouted.

Soon I could hear he steps climbing the stairs.

"Wear that for today. We're going to have some training," she replied.

"What? Training? But why?, " I asked.

"Well, you atleast you need to know some proper self-defense. So apply for a leave today. Let's do some training," she said.

I agreed.

I soon applied for a leave via email. And now I was standing in the living room fully ready for training.

My mom then lead me towards a wall. I was confused at first.

But then a door suddenly appeared in the wall. I was shocked. I couldn't react.

Soon a door appeared on the wall. Behind it was a lift. My mom lead me in.

As soon as we were inside it started going down. And soon we were in a dark room. My mom switched on the lights.

The room looked like a secret training facility. There were a lot of computers as well as some training systems. 

"It's been a long time since I came here," said my mom.

I started looking around. I was left in awe. The room was fully high-tech.

"Mom, why do we have a secret facility like this?," I asked.

"This is the main headquarters your dad built for the upcoming generations before he disappeared," she said.

And again her eyes were filled with tears. I stopped asking more questions because I knew she couldn't handle it.

And hence my training began.

My training began with normal gym exercises like squats, some weights, jogging, push-ups and some sit-ups.

My mom was acting like a true instructor and also a caring mother.

It had been three days since then. We had been doing nothing but the same gym exercises. 

"Mom, can I defeat the other clans or protect myself with the help of these gym exercises?," I asked.

"Well these are just the basics," she replied, "You are gonna learn more amazing things in the future."

"Alright then, that's all for today. Go have some rest," said mom, "You are going somewhere?"

"Hmm. William is taking me out on a date, " I said.

"Wow, that's amazing. So where are you going?" she asked.

"To the cinema," I replied.

"That's so romantic," she said, "Wear something good, okay?"

"Yeah, mom," I replied.

I then ran off to my room and went through my cupboard to look for a dress to wear for the date.

I just couldn't settle with a dress.

I was totally confused with what to choose. 

Then suddenly my sight came across a yellow dress.

It was the first gift William had given me.

I was so happy at the time I received it.

After a lot of thought, I decided on wearing the same.

Later in the evening.

Near the cinema hall.

"Where is she?" William thought for himself, "I've been waiting for half an hour. She was supposed to come by now. Why isn't she here? Is she not coming?"

And then a shadow appeared near him. He looked up.

It was none other than Raschel. She was looking hot in the dress.

He looked up in awe at the beauty nearing him.

"Is this?," William asked in shock.

Raschel replied, "Yes . The first gift you gave me. How do I look?"

"You look stunning. I cannot stop staring at you. You're like an angel that has descended heaven just for me," William said as he gazed on the beauty before him.

Raschel added in shy, "Oh, come on. You're embarrassing me." 

"No , I'm telling the truth. You look amazing," William continued.

"Alright . Let's go in. The movie is about to begin."

"Yes , let's go."

In The Theatre.

Raschel said looking at the posters, "Wow. This movie is amazing. I'm eager to watch it."

William then said, "Please wait here. I'll go and get popcorn."

Raschel replied, "Sure. Come back soon. Or I'll have to watch the movie alone."

William left from there to buy popcorn.

He stood in front of a popcorn stall and ordered the popcorn.

"Ah, two packets. You must be here with your girlfriend," the stall owner asked.

"Yes, sir," William replied.

Stall Owner added, "Then make sure to make her happy. It's quite good to be young. I can do nothing now. I'm already old. But you can. So treasure this time in your life."

"Sure," William said.

"That's 2 dollars, young man." 

William handed him the money and left from there.

Raschel was waiting for him to return. The movie was about to start. If he didn't come fast, he would miss the movie.

"Ah, where's that guy? He's taking too much time."

"I'm  here."

"Hah, you brought popcorn." 

"Yep, this is yours."

"Come on, the movie is about to start." 

It was a modern day romance movie. The beginning was very good and they liked it. 

"Hey, the popcorn is over. I'm still hungry."

"Shall  I bring some more?"

"No, don't go. You will miss the movie." 

"Then what will you do?"

"Can I eat you?"

An awkward silence broke out.

This was too sudden for William. But he looked happy.

"Uh, sure. If you would like to."
