I knocked before gently opening the door of his room.

I stopped stepping in when I heard his voice.

"Send me the files and appoint a dinner meeting with Mr.Verages," he said seriously in front of his laptop.

So at night he's having meetings? Isn't that a hassle?

Slowly, I let myself in.

His eyes met mine as soon as I entered.

"Copy sir," I heard the response of the person he was talking to.

I winced when I realized it was a woman.

He nodded without a word and then folded the laptop without taking his eyes off me.

"Ahmm, I'm going home," I hesitated to say goodbye because I still remember the mistreatment he did to my mouth earlier.

"I'll give you a ride," he said seriously then quickly took the key from the side of his desk and stood up.

“That’s crazy,” unconsciously, I uttered.

"What? Don't you know there are a lot of kidnappers today?" He shrugged and then walked closer to my place.
