Can’t see me happy

Laura’s Pov

I watched as Hunter stood in front of the door longer than usual, who was he speaking to, hearing whispers? I came downstairs to get water when I heard the bell ring but before I could get to the door Hunter got it before me and he has been standing in front of the door for more than five minutes.

Who was he talking to?

“Hunter,” I said making me stop whispering and turn to look at me.

“Who’s at the door?.” I asked once I knew his attention was on me.

“Uhm.” Hunter hesitated, what is he hiding?

“Laura,” Rick said making me turn to him.

When I turned back Hunter had already closed the door.

“Who was it?.” I asked again.

“Just someone looking for a house but the wrong house,” Hunter said.

It doesn’t take long to tell someone it’s the wrong house, Hunter has been there for five minutes, he is lying but why would he lie?

“Okay.” I quickly said.

“I will just get dressed, the girls and I want to go swimming,” I said before walking away.
