Chapter 32

Laura’s POV

Tears filled my eyes when Nelly informed me about Hunter, it’s been three hours since then, and Mia held me tightly as I cried on her shoulder.

Flash Back.

I was preparing to leave to meet Hunter, I informed mom I would be gone for a while, I convinced her to visit the spa, she needs it. She needs to relax.

I hailed a cab, and while I was in the cab I got a message from Rick.

Message-

Rick- Can we meet up?

Laura- Maybe later, I’m going to meet Hunter.

Rick- It’s a fucking emergency Laura, it has to do with life and death.

I stared at the message, Rick sounded serious.

“Turn the cab around and take me to 17th avenue,” I said to the cab driver. I can be late for my meeting with Hunter, I just need to make sure Rick is doing alright. I sent him a quick text saying I would be at his place in some minutes.

“Thank you,” I said to the cab driver. I walked into Rick’s home, I was shocked to see Nelly sitting on his couch.
