Chapter 41: Sweet sensation

As soon as we walked out of the hospital, Damien took the lead and directed us to the spot where he had parked his vehicle. At first, I was taken aback after seeing the gorgeous automobile that he drives, but after a while, I gathered my composure and cautiously entered the car.

Almost immediately after I got into the car, Damien joined me in it, and then the two of us drove off. We did not communicate with one another in any way whatsoever for the whole of our trip.

I must have given off the impression that I was feeling down, and he must have picked up on the fact that I didn't want to converse since he ignored me and focused on the road ahead of him instead.

We had a very long trip before we were eventually able to get to his home. We exited the vehicle at the same time, and I waited patiently for him to take the initiative and show me the way inside the house when we had done so.
