I woke up with a dry throat and a heavier chest.

The hospital lights above me were dim, flickering slightly in that sterile way that always made me feel watched.

The room was too quiet. I turned slowly, hoping to see Shane sitting by the window but didn't see him.

The armchair he curled into last night after coming back late was empty.

Probably he went out to grab a few stuff because yesterday, he came back really late and I couldn't even speak to him because I was feeling sleepy.

I sat up slowly, wincing at the dull pain still echoing through my ribs. The bandages tugged against my skin as I reached for the glass of water on the nightstand.

But what caught my eye wasn’t the water, it was a phone. I stared at it closely, this phone wasn't mine or the hospital's.

It's a black burner phone, small and clean. Just sitting there like it had been waiting for me to wake up.

My brows pulled together. I hesitated, staring at it for a moment before picking it up. It was unlocked—no password.Cu

  • Fifty Shades Of Lovia    The devil in the dark

Shane’s POVThe sharp blackout was followed by the kind of silence that lets real fear seep in.All the wild moaning and giggling stopped. Even the music outside the hallway stuttered to a confused halt.Just then Rueben’s voice sliced through the dark like a drunken bark.“What the fuck?!”“A power outage at a club?“ One if the ladies mubbled, voice shivering abit.Well, atleast they can feel the weirdness of this. I moved silently in the dark—walking towards them.I slipped through the door without making a sound. The glow from the backup exit lights gave me just enough to see his confusion and the raw, twisted panic starting to bloom in his eyes. The women were scrambling to cover themselves. One shrieked as the other tried to grab her bra from the floor.Rueben reached for his pants trying to put something on. They were really trying to find a way through the dark. Then I slammed the door behind me.CLICK.The lock echoed like a coffin lid. That’s when he froze.“Who’s there?” he

  • Fifty Shades Of Lovia    A Hunter in Lab coats

Shane’s POVI didn’t kill Ezekiel. Not because I didn’t want to—but because his smirk told me there was more to gain by letting him live. For now.I left the penthouse with clenched fists and a tighter jaw, heat still seething behind my eyes. Every inch of me screamed for blood. His arrogance. His lies. The way he said Lovia’s name like she was a pawn on his personal chessboard made me wanted to devour him. Lovia is mine alone and I hated the idea of sharing. And anyone who touched her with dirty hands would answer to me. Starting now.I made a call the moment I stepped into my car. “I want eyes on Rueben. I want to know what he ate for breakfast and who’s currently licking his boots.” I uttered. They better start praying because the hunter has began hunting and he do not miss his prey.I picked an energy drink I left in my car, I took a sip from it and stepped on my gears.I didn’t wait for a response from my men, because I already knew they would deliver. After driving for 2 minut

Shane's Pov.I never liked leaving a trail behind. Ghosts don't leave footprints — and in this business, it was better to be a ghost than a god.But someone was poking the beast. And that someone's clock has began ticking. The number that sent Lovia that cryptic text "you think it’s over?” — had been bouncing through six different VPNs and two dummy towers. It wasn’t the work of some scared thug. This was high-level encryption. Military-grade shit. And whoever they were…they knew how to stay just far enough from my radar.Until now.I leaned back in my chair, staring at the blinking dot finally resting on a single address: The Vanta Residences, Penthouse 08. I recognized it instantly.Ezekiel fucking Thorn.I stared at the name for a long moment. Not because I didn’t believe it — but because a part of me always knew. His interest in Lovia was too...intentional and too polished. No man gave that much attention to a woman just because of desire. Especially not men like him. They take,

The sunlight filtered in through the wide glass windows, casting warm streaks across the lavish black-and-cream sheets. My body ached in the best way possible — not from pain, but from pleasure, release, and the violent satisfaction of justice.I stretched like a spoiled cat across Shane’s ridiculously soft mattress, my bare skin brushing the silky sheets, heat still lingering from last night. I could still taste him on my lips, still hear the breathless moans we shared against that wall, that desk, that floor. His scent clung to me, musky and dangerous — like a storm right before it hits. Then suddenly, the TV across the room flickered on automatically, Shane’s voice-commanded AI system reading out the top headlines like some smug butler. But it wasn’t the weather or politics that caught my attention. It was the news, the very one I needed to hear this morning."Breaking News: The body of Lucien Vegas, heir to the vegas syndicate, was discovered this morning on the doorstep of YBA

The warehouse door slammed shut behind us with a finality that echoed in my chest.Shane and I walked out into the night, the cold air biting through my coat. Every breath I took was sharp, but somehow, it felt like freedom.I could still hear Lucien’s screams reverberating in my mind—the sound of his pride shattering piece by piece. That fire inside me had just been stoked into a blazing inferno.Shane glanced over at me, eyes dark and unreadable. “You did good tonight. More than good. You owned that.” he whispered.I gave a short laugh, bitter and raw. “This is just the start, Shane. They think they broke me. They only made me stronger.” I replied. He nodded, voice low. “Then let’s make sure the rest feel it.”And with that we stepped out of the warehouse, knowing fully our enemies are in danger now.Back in the car, the city lights flickered ahead like a battlefield waiting to be conquered. I stared at them and felt a surge of cold satisfaction.Alejandro, Clarissa, Reuben—they a

The night was colder than usual. Maybe it was just me. Or maybe I had finally crossed that invisible line where pain no longer scared me. I just didn’t feel it anymore.I packed a few essentials—nothing much, just what I needed for tonight. A simple black trench coat, crop top and Lip balm. I stared at my reflection in the walk in closet mirror—Admiring how brave and courageous I am. “ You're so pretty and fierce Lovia…so fearless.“ I whispered to myself.Shane waited by the door, already on a call. His jaw clenched midway.“They got him,” he said once I stepped into my heels. “Lucien. They have him at Warehouse 9.”I didn’t need to be told twice.“I’m going with you.” I replied him already picking my keys and sandals.Shane paused, eyes scanning me for any weakness. But there was none. I was done being weak. I wasn’t a victim. Not tonight.“Let get going..“ I uttered breaking the staring contest. We drove in silence, only the low hum of the engine between us. My fingers grazed the fa
