Dinner went as well as you’d expect. Boring, uneventful, quiet and hella uncomfortable. Noone really spoke to each other, except Maggie trying to lighten the mood, bless her and Mother constantly demanding we tell her what was wrong, but of course, neither I nor Cole would say. 

Such lovely family time together… not. 

We had to stay sitting around the dinner table while the servants brought us all some after-dinner blood. Now, of course, that was something no vampire could resist. I had barely managed to get a sip in when my phone started vibrating in my pocket. I ignored it, but as soon as it stopped, it started again.
