My mother could not drive any slower than she already was, I frantically tapped my shoes on the floor or the car as I wished she would pick up the speed. There was hardly any traffic in our kingdom, the roads were wide and verse it was hard for cars to get stuck.

She was supposed to drop me off at the train station that carried both people and goods to the Lycan Kingdom, many traders used the trains, it was easier and faster and had less security.

She peered at me from the front mirror, clearly seeing my impatience she gunned the engine and the sudden change in gravity pressed me against the chairs as she sped. Better! I had already wasted too much time for comfort now I had to act fast. I was already here, there was no turning back for me now, I needed to do this, my conscience would not let me rest as long as I knew that Valeries death was staged by the Alpha and she could still be alive in the Lycan Kingdom.
