If our love ends in fire, then stand beside me. We’ll burn the world down first, and let the flames write our names in the smoke.

EZREAL’S POV

As I left Baron inside our room, my mind raced. Something was going on, something I didn't understand. The house had settled into that uneasy calm that always followed violence narrowly avoided. Guards rotated. Radios murmured low. Every corridor breathed discipline. Just the way I liked it.

I was halfway down the west wing when I saw the box. It sat on the long oak table like it belonged there… unassuming, sealed in brown paper, a simple ribbon knotted on top. Too neat. Too intentional. A white envelope was taped to the lid. For a moment, nothing moved. I watched the box with narrowed suspicion and then turned to Vincent who had come to stand beside me.

“Who brought that in?” I asked. Vincent was already stepping closer, eyes narrowed.

“It wasn’t on the intake list.” His voice rang out and I froze. That was all the warning I needed. I didn’

MALRICK’S POVLucien didn’t look away as he entered. I didn't care. I got off letting people watch me being in control. Lucien’s eyes raked over Ashley's body, his face unwavering. That alone told me everything. He shut the door behind him with deliberate calm, his gaze flicking once, to the girl kneeling at my feet then back to me. There was no shock in his expression. No discomfort. Only assessment.“You didn't tell me you'd be visiting today, Lucien. I'm busy.” I told him flatly, hissing when Ashley's mouth swallowed my cock. My eyes closed for just a fraction and when I opened them, Lucien was already sitting on an empty chair. “I came here to discuss. This isn't a surprise.” He jerked his head to her. “Is she new?” He asked and I nodded with a grin.“Fucked her myself and I can tell you, she’s a keeper. Not exactly what I want but she'll do. Do you want a taste?” I asked him and he stared at me with a smirk.“Is she clean?” He asked and I nodded. Then, my eyes met Ashley's. “Be

MALRICK’S POV The knock came precisely when I expected it. I didn’t look up from my desk. “Enter.” The door opened with the careful restraint of a man who knew better than to intrude without permission. Landon stepped inside, hands folded, posture rigid, devotion carved into bone. “It’s done, Malrick,” he said. “I called Baron. He’ll come to the chapel to clear out his desk.” At that, I finally lifted my gaze. “And?” I asked mildly. “Did you tell everyone that your son is fucking a man, Landon?” My eyes didn't leave his and I saw the moment he froze. Landon hesitated. Just a fraction. “No. I didn’t spread it. I just told the church that he had stepped down because of some health issues and that once he was better, he would take over. For now, I'll take over again.” I leaned back in my chair, fingers entwined. “Why didn't you tell them the truth?” I asked again and he looked at me like I was stupid for asking that question. That earned him a deadly glare and he looked away. “

Every breath without you tastes like dust. I’m convinced even death would feel kinder than living in your absence.EZREAL’S POVThe memory faded, leaving only the weight of it behind. “This fight,” I said softly, back in the present, “we will win. Because I’m not reacting anymore. I’m placing my pieces exactly where they need to be.”I straightened. “I’ll use every connection I have. Every favor. Every shadow. I’ll wage war on the Order of Thorn, on Lucien, on the Black Dogs–on anyone who stands in our way.”Baron stepped closer. “Then I’m with you,” he said. “Every step of the way, Ezreal. I promise you. I'll never leave you here.”Relief hit me harder than any victory ever had. Then his expression shifted. It was serious now and very protective. “When Aiden goes to Malrick,” he said, “I need you to make sure he’s safe. I'm asking as a request, Ez. He's still young. It's bad enough that his father was crazy. He doesn't deserve any of this at all.”“I know and I will,” I said without

Once I'd tried to kill the part of me that wants you.It didn’t die–it screamed your name and resurrected itself twice as hungry.EZREAL’S POVI looked at Baron and knew, truly, that there was no escaping this anymore. Not the truth. Not him. I couldn't hide it forever. And it was finally time to tell him. Just so he wouldn't feel like I was keeping him away from everything again. There was a way he held himself when he wanted answers. Still. Watchful. Not demanding, not pleading, just present. It was the same posture he’d used in confessionals for decades, the same one that made men unravel without realizing they were doing it. I had built empires on strategy and silence, but Baron had always been my one weakness. I exhaled slowly. “Come with me,” I said. “We’ll talk upstairs. It's safer and quieter there.”He didn’t argue. That, more than anything, told me how deep this had already gone. We moved through the halls in silence, past stone and shadow and history that had been soaked

You didn’t ruin me. You simply revealed the parts of me that were always yours. BARON’S POV Aiden’s eyes widened, but he didn’t recoil. That mattered. He didn’t leap from the chair. Didn’t shout. Didn’t plead. He just went very still, like an animal that knew panic would get it killed faster than obedience. “I already met him,” Aiden said carefully. “These days, he comes to me, he wants me to submit to him. He says he wants me to be his…his whore. He threatened my mother and my siblings.” I froze at the words. Ezreal didn’t move. His grip on my hand tightened–just slightly. Not possession but something else… Reassurance maybe. “This time,” Ezreal said, “you will be the one to go to him. Not to accept his offer, but to do something else.” The silence that followed pressed down on my chest. I felt it in my ribs. The fear and the anticipation for whatever plan he had. Aiden swallowed, hard. “You want me to spy on him.” He said but Ezreal shook his head. “No,” Ezreal replied

If anyone tries to take you again, I won’t fight them– I'll end them so thoroughly their absence becomes genetic.BARON’S POVThe door closed behind us with a sound that felt heavier than it should’ve been. Not loud. Not final. Just… deliberate. I’d learned to listen to doors in Ezreal’s world. Some meant safety. Some meant blood. This one meant anticipation. Vincent led the way down the hall, his stride controlled, shoulders squared like he was bracing for impact that hadn’t come yet. I knew he was worried about Aiden. I saw the feelings I had for Ezreal gleaming in Vincent's eyes. We were both smitten by men–and I was sure he'd do anything to protect Aiden.Just the way I'd protect Ezreal. With my life. Ezreal walked beside me, close enough that our arms brushed. He didn’t hold my hand, but the nearness was intentional. Grounding. A quiet reminder that I wasn’t walking into this alone.I breathed that in. It felt satisfying to know that he was here with me. The atmosphere in the
