Chapter 173

Warren arrived in Richmond the following morning. On his way to the Parker mansion, he was stopped by an elderly man who seemed to wait for him. Warren was in a hurry, so he didn't want to waste any time, but the man stood still in the middle of the road, cutting off any chances for Warren to go past him.

Not wanting to get violent, Warren thought that he should rather talk to the man and hear what he had to say. The old man had a kind of familiar look, but Warren couldn't put his finger on where he saw him before. 

"Master Cole, my name is Bruce and I have been a servant of the Parker family for years. I'm sure you don't know who I am," the man said. That's when it hit Warren. He did see him when he visited the Parker mansion when James Parker was still alive. Bruce, as he called himself, was working out in the yard that fateful day. 

"Yes, I remember who you are. To what do I owe the pleasure of meeting you here?" Warren asked. He looked at his watch
