  Joey Xiao had been expecting all these controversies to come out one day. It wasn’t surprising at all that posts of him taking drugs and being the son of a murderer had gone viral on the Internet.

He calmly read the comments calling for the cancellation of his Best Supporting Actor nomination. Even on the official website of the Venice Film Festival, people were cursing him and wishing him ill.

As he was looking through the website, he suddenly received a call from James Fu.

“Look, there was nothing to worry about it. I’ll handle this. Please don’t add fuel to the fire, resist the urge to go online for now, okay?”

James Fu held the phone in one hand and pinched himself with the other.

Joey Xiao paused for a moment and softly replied, “I understand. I’ll just recite scripts or something.”

Joey seemed to have lost his enthusiasm. James Fu, who still remembered how he had carried on five years ago, didn’t expect his answer.
