Chapter 8

I sat there, still leaning against Rodrigo's bed headboard. I couldn't figure out which part of my body hurt more. It felt like I was in pain from head to toe.

"My staff will take you home shortly. I'll send for you again when I need you," he said while putting on his pants.

I looked at Rodrigo with anger. "What do you think I am? A paid woman?!" I shouted furiously. "This is the first and last time you will hurt me!"

Rodrigo suddenly looked at me. I swallowed hard as he slowly approached me. I avoided his gaze because I couldn't stand his intense stare. It was so cold and lifeless. I gasped when he suddenly grabbed my chin and made me face him. I immediately winced when I felt a stinging sensation on my cheek. The tightness of his grip felt like my jaw was about to break. I knelt down because he pulled me slightly, causing me to let go of the blanket covering my naked body.

"I will do everything I want to you. Whether you like it or not. You are mine now, Jane Acosta!"
