CHAPTER 116: reception

  Nathan’s POV

  We are dancing as the night sky takes shape. I was surprised when they appeared, but I was happier because she didn't leave me behind. She looks at me, and her fingers caress my brows and nose bridge. I kiss her quickly.

  "I love you, Mrs. Miller," I murmur.

  She smiled and held me tighter. She's so beautiful in her wedding dress.

  "I love you more. I know you are mad at what I did. I promise I'll make it up for you," she says with a wink.

  "Aha. You will…" I whispered in her ears. She giggled.

  When the song ended, we went back to our chairs. Her parents step up on the stage and grab the two microphones on the table.

  They looked at us and smiled. I never thought she could still manipulate people, even in this reality.

  "Congratulations and best wishes to the both of you. I'm sorry, my son-in-law. I have to agree to my daughter's plan because she used reverse psychology. She told me that this would be her first big favor to ask her dad," he says.

  She giggled
