Arike’s POV
Tears welled up in my eyes again as I twisted the door knob and stepped out of the room. Bamidele and barrister Prosper leaned your against the wall waiting for me.
They rushed towards me at the sound of me closing the door.
“Arike?” Bamidele pursed his lips when he saw the tears in my eyes.
Barrister Prosper mouth quirked up. “Didn’t he open up to you?” He asked.
I shook my head. “He..did..Dayo told..me..everything.” I answered shakily.
“Arike, what about the recording?” Bamidele asked.

EPISODE FIFTY SIXTheme: False evidenceArike’s POVA bothersome question struck my mind and I couldn’t hide it. “Bamidele, what if the court says the recording is staged?” I asked. The men lapsed into silence. Gosh! Why didn’t I think about it?! Shalewa’s lawyer could counter our evidence with the claim that it was staged and falsified to favour Adedayo.“You are right..but at the same time we have a witness.” Bamidele muttered.“I have an idea.” Barrister Prosper said.“What is it?” I asked. He adjusted his sitting position and turned to face me. “It is dangerous but I believe we can do it.” Barrister Prosper stared intently at me.“As long as it is legal, then we can consider it.” Bamidele said as he focused on the road ahead.“My first question is who will meet doctor A
EPISODE FIFTY SEVENTheme: She wants to meet daddyArike’s POVI snapped my eyebrows together. “Did she do something wrong while I was away?” I asked.“Maybe..” Busayomi muttered.“What did she do?” I asked again.I know my child well, Iteoluwa preferred to report herself after doing what she has been told not to do instead of having someone to talk about her offenses.“What did she do? She gave you a hard time? Did she cry too much? Or did she break anything around the house?” I bombarded Busayomi with questions. She answered me with a sigh. “You look tired, go ahead and have a shower before our food gets cold.” Busayomi pushed me towards the direction of the bedroom.I became so worried and anxious to know what Iteoluwa has done to Busayomi. Iteoluwa had looked really sad after Busayomi spoke t

Theme: A meeting with Shalewa Arike’s POVI was disguised as a nurse with a face mask to hide my identity. When I got to Shalewa’s private ward, there were no guards at the entrance. Bamidele was nearby waiting to distract the guards in case they come back and I hope they are stupid enough to not suspect anything. I have just fifteen minutes to get Shalewa to confess that she framed Adedayo.I breathed in and out heavily before walking into the ward. The room was for VIP patients and it was quite expensive. And there she was sitting comfortably in bed with a blue spiral binding book in her hand, one I assumed to be a script.Unbelievable! This sly female was ready to act again in a movie amidst all this chaos she created while Dayo was suffering in the police custody. Shalewa was selfish and inhumane.I held the tray

You are in here, dressed in a nurse uniform just to see me. If you are truly worried about me then you could have booked appointed with my PA and walked in here without a disguise. Do you know how I feel right now? I feel like it a role I once played in a movie.” She laughed again. This plan is not going to work.“If anyone doesn’t believe Dayo, I am sure you will believe him and also you used to be a very skilled criminal attorney who has never lost any case.” She paused with her eyes sizing me up

Adedayo stopped paying attention to me, he barely cames home to sleep and when he was around, he never looked at me. Several times I had to get us drunk so we could make love as couples but for how long did I keep doing that? A long time and each time he wakes up ext day, he feels irritated by my presence. Dayo made me feel worthless, so I changed up too. I slept with few men just to hurt him. I felt abandoned and useless so tell me one reason why I shouldn’t make him suffer?!” She grimaced, anger clear in her expression.“So you also didn’t accept the divorce because you wanted him to suffer?” I asked.“Yes..he can’t back out..never. We vowed forever at the altar..so I am not going to accept to divorce him.” He
