The veterinarian swallowed nervously, realizing he had no choice but to comply. "Okay, okay. Just please don't hurt me."

Chris nodded, satisfied for the moment. "Good. And remember, if anything happens to him, I'll come back for you."

As Chris stood guard by the door, his mind raced with thoughts of their next move. "We need to lay low for a while, Camren. Until we figure out who set us up and why," Chris muttered, staring intensely at the unconscious Camren.

"Agreed. But we can't let this slide. We need to find out who betrayed us and make them pay," He groaned.
