CHAPTER 21: YOU WERE NEVER MY MOTHER

EMANUELE'S POV

My palms are sweaty as I see the name flash across the screen. I haven't spoken to her in over two years. I am just glaring at the phone, I cannot determine whether I should answer or decline the call. My fingers are twitching as my anxiety starts to wreak havoc. Something about this woman always drives my body into nervousness.

“Are you gonna answer that, Manny?" My head snaps up to greet a curious Kevah.

“I don't know," I hiss.

The twins and Kevin are deep in conversation discussing the latest episode of Supernatural.
