CHAPTER 20: WHO DIED?

“Good morning, Eva," Lana chimes as she hands her a cup of coffee.

Ella is sitting across from Eva, spreading butter on her toast while grinning strangely at her big sister.

Kevah takes a sip of her hot beverage then she says, “Ok, what gives? Why are you two acting strange?"

Kevah glimpses Manny and KJ shooting hoops in the backyard through the kitchen window.

“Oh, no reason big sis." Ella takes a bite from her toast then she brushes the crumbs from her face. “Did you fuck him?" she inquires, staring at Kevah with a glint in her eye.

Eva almost chokes as she spits the coffee from her mouth. “Why would you think that?"

“Maybe because Mr. Break Your Back didn't sleep in KJ's room last night," Lana smirks. “I might have gone to his room last night to ask him to read me a bedtime story," she confesses, playfully keeping her eyes on her sister, loving the jealous look on her face.
