Chapter 2002 Countdown to the Wedding

Surprise flashed across Margot's face. "You're willing to give me your savings? Are you trying to get me to help with some shady businesses?"

Andrew closed his eyes, annoyed by her words.

Margot shook her head. "No, thanks."

Andrew looked at her. "But you're marrying into the Inkling family. Without a good family background or some insane amount of dowry, the Inkling family would not treat you well."

Margot sneered. "I don't care about them. I'm marrying Benjamin, not them."

Andrew gave her a solemn look. Seeing her determination, he nodded. "Fine, I won't insist since you've decided."

He stood up to leave.

Margot watched his retreating figure. Suddenly, she asked, "My mother … have you ever looked for her?"

Age was starting to catch up to Andrew. He remained silent for a while before leaving.
