In my mind's eye, I could still picture my legs tangled up with Bianca's. Us between the sheets, her warm body tucked safely into my arms, as we caught the first few winks of sleep since this nightmare began.

That was my reality up until thirty minutes ago. Bianca's voice dragged me back into the here and now.

"Where's my sister, Merida? So help me, if you've lost her—"

"Baby, Bianca, calm down," I said, wrapping an arm around her waist as she charged at Merida.

Merida visibly flinched, even wheeling her chair away.

"I'm calm," Bianca said, her eyes darting at Merida manically.

I gave her a look that said sure you are as my arm tightened around her middle.

"She's a fucking grown ass woman. You can't lose a damn adult," Merida sassed.

As anticipated, Bianca made her second attempt at lunging at Merida, which I swiftly prevented once more.

"Let me go. I'll have her talking in no time," Bianca ins

"Can we shut this down? Stop the video from spreading?" I asked, glancing at Bianca. She looked like a different person, wearing one of my shirts and a baggy pair of sweatpants. My vixen was doing her best to remain calm, but I could tell that everything was getting to her. That was why, after a brief shower and change of clothes, we reconvened with Harmon and Macy via conference call. Before braving the outside world, where the paparazzi lurked around every corner, including outside the gates of the mansion, I wanted to know all the facts. "Too late. It's gone viral. Will, you need to think of the company," said Harmon, ever the pragmatist. "In other words, dump my friend when she's at her lowest," said Macy. And we were back to the fighting. If Macy and Harmon were in the same room, they'd be tearing each other's hair out by now. They could fight about what kind of blue the sky

There was no rational explanation for what I said or for my behavior. He just made me so damn mad. From the moment he let me walk away from crashing into millions, as Sandra had put it, however, I just knew it would be okay. Somewhere in the back of my mind I knew that I could get as mad as I wanted at him and he'd still show up for me. This once, when I knew he needed me, I was determined to show up for him. To wait on him and let him get out whatever he needed to, however he needed to. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sore from the way he manhandled me in the hot tub. When we got to the bedroom, he still had that wild look in his eyes. Part of me was terrified I wouldn't survive round two of what just happened. He went ahead and sat down on the bed, resting against the pillows, challenging me to leave. Something in his eyes said this was a no talking, only doing zone. So I squared

She pulled down her rumpled up skirt, then yanked the zipper down and shimmied out of it. I watched it float away behind her, either sides of her open blouse halfway down her arms, struggling to come off her body, bra dangling loosely around her breasts. Her chest heaved as she fumed. "I don't need your fucking pity, " I spat back, eyes fixated on her state of undress. Wet red hair flowing all around her. Her make up was a mess. Hands balled into fists, erratic stormy eyes. Despite the venom I was spewing, I could feel myself crumbling. All I wanted was her limbs wrapped around me. "Wanting the person you care about to be okay isn't pity," she said, her voice dropping low. She took a few steps forward and my chest tightened. That's right baby, come to me. Make it all better the way you have since the

Where did I even begin? It had been so long since I talked about this. "What happened between you and your mom, Will?" Bianca asked, calling me back to her, patiently waiting. If she were anybody else, I'd have told her to back the fuck off. We didn't know each other that well. The words were on the tip of my tongue, but I had never met anybody whose eyes I wanted to seek out wherever I went before her. Now when I walked into a room, I couldn't help looking for her. "Remember what I told you the night you first met her?" I began slowly, wanting to get this the fuck over with, struggling with the words. "It was your dad's death anniversary," she said, her voice sounding closer. I could hear her steady approach as the water moved around her. "That's right. My biological father, Trent Keats. I found out about him two months before he died of liver failure. The man was a miserable,

"This again? Your jealous streak is starting to concern me, Bianca," Will teased, trying to make light of the matter. How did I miss this? Almost from the moment we met, I knew that he wasn't what he seemed. It never occurred to me, however, that actual thought went into this don't care, light hearted, playboy routine of his. Like all of us, Will Hunter had secrets too. "I have this problem. I think I've always had it," I began in a small voice. "This tendency to go above and beyond for people, even without them asking me to or even necessarily needing me to." The slapped-on smile faded from Will's face and was quickly replaced with an indiscernible mask. Not sure what to make of it, I considered shutting the hell up. The last thing he needed right now was to hear more of my baggage. Impulse overrode my natural instinct once more and I carried on. "Then when they show even an iota of gratitude, I confuse it fo
