KENDRICK'S POV

My eyes widened with my heart drumming so hard that I thought it was going to burst from my chest.

I gasped, life flashing before my eyes.

I staggered towards where she was. I crouched down, and then I noticed someone cuddling her into his arms.

Felix, her stupid husband.

"Quick, call the ambulance!" His voice echoed inside my ears.

The whole place was in a rampage, but I didn’t care. I wanted nothing more than to get her out of this miserable place, so I reached towards her regardless of if she was in his arms.

"What are you doing?" he held her closer. "This is my wife."

I reached forward until I was staring straight into his eyes. "Let her go this instant or I swear to God I’ll break those arms personally."

He froze, his pupils dilating for a moment before he let her go, and I took her quickly.

Her body was cold and stiff, unlike the woman I knew that was full of life.

I cradled her into my arms as I stood up. My hands wrapped around her waist, and I noticed just how

REBECCA'S POVHis brow arched with that glimmer in his eyes that was clearly stating, dare me if you can.I squinted my eyes, body pushing forward to confront him because this was getting out of hand.First, he knew what my favorite shoe color was, and now this.My lips parted—his words made mine die inside my throat.“You should eat, now that it’s still hot. You don’t like to eat meals that are cold.” His tone was soft, and I felt my throat tighten. There it was again. Warmth seeped through my chest.Even as I peeked through my lashes, I couldn't figure out the man in front of me.Every day, I am plagued with that one question: what does Kendrick Reyes want?I used to think I was good at reading people, but after my experience with my ex-husband, I was definitely not so sure."You're awake." "I was getting worried that you weren’t going to regain consciousness soon."I fanned my lashes softly, as my gaze darted toward my palm, still intertwined with his.A sharp tug nudged my chest as my lips pressed together. The way his thumb brushed through my skin sent a deep wave of something I couldn't quite place or acknowledge. This man…I recoiled, trying to pull my hand away from his grip, but he only held on—tighter, even."What are you doing here, Reyes?" I blinked, feeling my whole body stutter from the pain.

  • Hell Has No Fury: His Ex Wife Revenge   Out Of Reach

KENDRICK'S POV"Kendrick! Where do you think you are going?" My dad arched a brow as his eyes washed over me sternly."You haven't even finished lunch."I forced the lump in my throat as I stared down at my plate, fists tightening. What was a meal if it meant that Becca was going to keep suffering? Lewis had informed me that she was kidnapped and was rounding up the men to try and track her location.Damn it!"Kendrick, is everything alright?" My mom called out softly. Everyone's eyes were on me as I bit hard against my curled-up fist.I couldn't breathe at this point.Jessica quickly jolted from her seat as she rushed up to my side. I stumbled back slightly but held onto the chair for support."Okay, what the heck is going on? Are you okay? What did Lewis say?"Jessica's words faded, coming out in echoes, for it grew into a sharp sound. I didn’t hesitate to pinch the space between my brows and shook off the dizziness that was trying to drag me under."Bro, what's going on?"I gave her

  • Hell Has No Fury: His Ex Wife Revenge   I Like Women!

KENDRICK'S POVI stared hard at my screen as I watched Jessica’s message pop up on it.“Our parents want to see you. It’s important.”I clicked my phone shut, running my hands through my hair. I’d always known this day would come. The day I would have to step up into the family business, but I didn’t think it was going to be so soon.I didn’t hesitate to dial my assistant and personal bodyguard’s number—Lewis.“Good day, boss,” he greeted the moment he answered the phone. If there was one thing I loved about him, that would be his sharp wit and responsive nature.“I’ll be going for a meeting in our family house, and I won’t be able to keep track of her movement. I need you to keep her safe while I’m not watching her.”I took a deep breath as I felt my hand tighten over the wheel even more.“Today’s her big day. Make sure no one interrupts her.”“And if they do?” Lewis asked. I could already picture his face tightening. My eyes narrowed over to the mirror a few paces above my head befo

  • Hell Has No Fury: His Ex Wife Revenge   The Ex-Wife Strikes Back

REBECCA'S POV"You are out of your fucking mind," Felix yelled, gritting his teeth even more."I know, but that's no way to speak to your boss, is it?"Felix's eyes darkened like he was about to pounce on me again when the door flung open, and everyone held their breath as the sound of his cane filled the air."That's the Chairman! What is he doing here?""Could it be that this woman really called him down here?"I crossed my legs even more as I threw my head back. Their hushed whispers surrounded the air, and it sent a chilly sensation down my spine."Grand... Grandfather, what are you doing here?" Felix stuttered, his throat bulging up and down.If there was one thing I knew about Felix, it was that he was scared of his grandfather, and he made sure never to displease the old man since he was the head of the family.Felix's grandfather stopped, his lips curled up in a sinister frown with traces of disgust. It was almost like he was cursing his family for giving him such a grandchild

  • Hell Has No Fury: His Ex Wife Revenge   Let's Call It Even

REBECCA'S POV"Shut up," Felix groans as his face twisted, his hands rambling over the papers as he tore it into shreds."Don't worry. Grandfather will be here any minute to deliver the real papers." I flickered my gaze toward the paper that was already laying on the floor."It's good you shredded them because that was only the photocopy."Felix fumed. He took a step forward, almost like he was about to grab my hand, but the moment he remembered what happened the last time he did, he recoiled with a snarl."Get out of my company! And who do you think you are, commanding my grandfather to run your errands...."Anna eyed me up and down again. "You are so shameless," she hissed.I took a deep breath, and then I lifted my hand and with a click, I snapped my fingers. In less than a second, the men grabbed Felix and yanked Anna to the side. They held them down as they continued to struggle."Rebecca, you witch! What do you want from us?! After running off to sleep around with men, you're he

  • Hell Has No Fury: His Ex Wife Revenge   Freak, Really?

REBECCA'S POVI always knew there was a part of me that was off—maybe nuts, if we're being honest. But I never thought I'd live to see the day I'd have to drag out my inner psycho... as a defense mechanism."Get the heck out of my company, you crazy freak. I'm so ashamed to even call you my ex-wife." Felix glared at me like an object he wanted to get rid of in the next minute. But unfortunately for him, we were both stuck in the game. The only way to end it? Oh well, there's no end until I'm no longer on the face of this earth."Trust me, the feeling is mutual." I let out a hiss, tilting my face away from his. "How did I ever marry such a lying, selfish, and ungrateful bastard?"Anna's mouth fell wide open with the collective gasp from everyone that was present."When I let you pitch my designs for free without claiming ownership of my work, you didn't think I was a freak."Felix flinched again, his eyes sliding off Anna, then back, eyeing me sharply when he heard the whispers from ev

REBECCA'S POV"She's..." The receptionist gulped, her lips quivered against my gaze as we stared at each other. My hands against her collar tightened, tugging her forward, and her nails squeaked against the table.I arched a brow, nodding once—slow, expectant—urging her to continue, even as the last threads of patience slipped from my grasp."Mr. Felix is in the conference room. He's having a meeting with all the shareholders and the stakeholders..." she rambled. My eyes wandered away from her desk toward the elevator as my hands loosened their grip on her shirt. The receptionist scrambled to her feet, her hands brushing against her shirt as she tugged it straight, and then she cleared her throat."Please, you can't tell... you can't tell Mr. Felix I told you or else he'll fire me."I grinned, my elbows pressed against the table, letting my gaze trail back toward the receptionist. She stiffened, her eyes locked straight against mine, and her throat bulged again."Sweetheart, you don't
