Lucille Hellfire has not reached out to me since that night.

At first, I told myself that I had gone too far. Humored him, and he found me insane but after finding out about the deaths he had caused that night he found me, I know there is no limit for that man nor does he understand what that word means.

There is not much to go on about him but I had spent weeks learning about the people he had killed, how merciless he was. He was probably an undiagnosed psychopath with his obsession of causing chaos no matter where he went and my behavior of doing the same must be familiar to him so he will see me as a kindred soul.

He has to. Fucking has to.

“Principessa,” I try not to yell at the lady that speaks behind me, knowing well enough that she is not at fault as I smile sweetly at her. Like everyone else, she is grateful for my attention on her as she beams back, “You look beautiful. Are you excited about your wedding?”

I don't have it in me to hold a conversation. I'm not prepared. My eyes go back to my reflection as I let my eyes move over my blond hair and eyes, the dress so homely and soft on my skin that I look like the loveliest bride, in the most innocent way.

I don't hate it but I also don't think Adam deserves this side of me. Not even a little. He was still a boy trying to wear his big boy pants. I was not amused.

I would say I made a mistake choosing Lucille but I know I did not. I never make mistakes. He is the right one. The only one that would not try to make me fall in love with him to seek my Father's approval because he would never get it.

“Who isn't on their wedding day?” My smile is bright but my head is beginning to hurt. I keep it in. I must. “Do me a favor and make sure no one comes here. Not even my Father. I want my husband to be the first family man to see me.”

She nods, excited for me. I don't see what she's happy about as she leaves. My eyes go to my phone again, wondering if he will call or what he will do. What was he planning to do? As much as I liked to guess what people were up to, I cannot do so for him. I don't like it.

Soon enough, I can no longer stall and I have on my veil as I walk into one of the many cars left for me in our Manor, my brain fighting a war with me. I had planned sufficiently for what would happen if the plan with Lucille fell through as well but I cannot help being disappointed.

I had not seen Adam in months and I wasn't sure I would be able to handle not punching him in the nose if he was in front of me again.

All of this was becoming such a headache.

As the cars begin to head out, I keep my eyes outside the window, realizing that I might never leave this place. No other man is foolish enough to go against my Father's wishes to rescue me so… So I was going to see that house till the day I died.

Just like Mother.

Should I jump out through the car and make the driver take the blame of kidnapping me? Or force him to help smuggle me out of Italy? I know I have only a few hours before Father finds me but at the very least, I'll have my freedom by then so—

The sounds of cars exploding has me pulling me out of my thoughts as my eyes immediately center on my driver. He stares at me through the rearview mirror as he swerves the first two cars in front of me. “He had said you wouldn't mind their deaths. I hadn't believed it but for someone who just heard four cars explode, you're quiet.”

Damien Zo. Lucille's best friend and only friend. He is Korean-American, being the other hand of Lucille who was the Vice Chairman of the New York Mafia. He has tattoos all over his body and a face that makes one lose their guard easily but he is also known to be the only one Lucille had tried to kill once and let live and for what reasons, no one knows.

I know it is not my business to ask so I do not.

“Where is he?”

He changes the gear of the car now, going faster as he says, “At the Altar awaiting his bride to be.” Then his eyes go back to the rearview mirror as he says, “And fortunately, you are dressed the part.”

Adam sits away from me… as far as the table will allow, looking like he wishes the world would end. Jade sits close to him, though she also looks slightly uncomfortable.Lucille, on the other hand, keeps his arm around my waist, pinning me to his lap so I can’t get away. He’s smiling at them, very brightly, but I can see the gun in his other hand resting under the table.I can’t help the sigh that leaves my lips. “We need to make sleeping arrangements.”“Yeah,” Adam starts, jerking his head toward Lucille. “I’m not sleeping around that.”“That’s settled,” Lucille says, chuckling. His hand starts moving upward. “We can settle this—”I quickly grab his arm, pushing it down. I send him a glare, but he only smiles innocently before I turn back to Adam. “I thought you needed a place? Somewhere safe?”“And I should believe he is safe?”I look at Lucille. “Will you harm him?”“Yes.”“Lucille.”He smiles, placing his arm openly on the table. Adam jerks when he spots the gun, but Lucille only

‘Did you miss me? I missed you. I missed you so much I thought I would die. It was a new type of pain for me. A new type of adrenaline rush that made me think I should kill them faster. I had to get home. I never liked getting home until you. I wanted to come see you. I wanted to mold my skin into yours. I needed to. You are very beautiful. Why is he here? I need to kiss you. I want to place you on this table and fuck you so everyone outside can hear how much you like me being inside you. I know I would. Would you like me better? You are hard to please. I give you everything but you must have already had everything. What more can I do for you? What will make you stop fighting me?’Those are the words playing through my head again and again. They grow louder the more I smell her perfume, feel her warmth. She’s always so warm. I never seem to have enough warmth on my body. I want to put my hands under her dress. Her tits are so warm and soft and nice— or maybe I grab her thighs. She co

“You are smart, but it seems there are moments you lack clarity.”“Are you calling me stupid, Lucille?”“No, my wife. I wouldn’t dare,” He hasn’t broken a smile, not even once. He bore one when he saw me walk into the house, but it vanished the second Jade walked out, then his face filled with a predatory look the moment he saw Adam. I made them wait in the car so I could talk to him alone. He looks dressed— for a dinner date. I can smell the food he made. The pasta. It smells delicious but he’s locked the kitchen door— and I’m not sure if it’s because he doesn’t want me to see the state of it, or because he’s angry that I brought people back home. I believe it is both. “May we have our talk now?”“I’m afraid not.” His voice is different too. There’s an eeriness to it that makes me feel almost as if he’s holding himself back from ripping apart anything in his line of sight to pieces. “I can’t concentrate knowing they’re still here,”“They’re not in the house,”“I was hoping you’d

Adam looks like he’s been living on the road for weeks. His hair sticks all over his head, his clothes are rough and filthy. He's wolfing down the food in front of him too like a wild animal. Jade looks slightly disgusted, which is a pleasant emotion to see compared to the way that she’s been quiet since he brought her home. She had barely said anything when I took her to other clothing stores and bought things for her. She seemed excited trying some clothes on but not around me. I don’t try to push her. “Slowly,” I say, though I don’t think he hears me. He picks up a piece of chicken and tears into it. The groan that leaves his lips makes bile rise up my throat though I manage to push it down before he looks at me, his eyes slanting as he chuckles, “You have no idea what the fuck you’ve done, have you?”“I did my father a favour,” I start, folding my arms, “He had no plans on teaching me about taking after the mafia, so I took myself out of it.”“That’s not how it works and you

“— and she’s such a brat! No. I swear, she looks like… she looks like the prettiest thing you’d ever see. Like a rose. But… but worse! She doesn’t just have thorns, but those thorns have poisons! No one sees it though. Yeahhhhh. Everyone says she’s perfect and princess-cy but I know what and who she really is—”Somewhere in my story, they throw me outside. The door of the bar— The Rusty Anchor, or something similar but it’s still a shithole— hits my shoulder on the way out. I fall, the world tilting because of course, I’m not drunk but withdrawal symptoms always start off with something very fucking similar, and land on my ass in a damp alley. The smell of garbage and piss hits me fast, a smell that New York seems to be filled with at this point. “—and stay out, you crazy fuck!” a voice yells from somewhere. It’s probably from the bar, I don’t fucking care, before it slams shut, cutting off the warm, yellow light and the sound of loud rock music with wild banshees screaming. My h

The organ in my chest starts to misbehave, and I’m not sure if I should be grateful it is not the one between my legs this time or angry at myself. “You, on the other hand,” His voice drops a monotone, his eyes looking above me to Jade. He looks soulless, almost empty as he drawls, “are a pet for my wife. She will find good use for you,”“I don’t want a pet.”“Fine. I will kill—”“No.” That makes him smirk. “You say no a lot. And if you do not want to keep her, you should just let me know“I’m not keeping her,” I correct quickly, “I’m making sure you don’t kill her,”“Too many words for exactly what I just said,” He’s shrugging now as he stands erect, then without warning, stretches his hand out above my head, “But I’ve come to understand your mouth and body never truly mean what they say. So let’s see—”I don’t know when my hand reaches out to grab him. All I know is I’m holding his arm— feeling the muscles underneath his skin. He’s worked out more. Which means he has killed more.
