Blair Monore
The next few days after signing the contract were an absolute blur for Blair.
She quit her job. Movers came and boxed up everything valuable that she owned. She told her landlord she was moving. And suddenly she was living in Zeke’s apartment building. She had an apartment under her name two floors below Zeke’s penthouse suite. Her apartment was much, much, much larger than her old apartment, The movers helped in moving her things into the apartment, she had shopped for new clothes, bags a whole new wardrobe with Zeke's credit card, even the furniture the movers helped her with were all brand new.
Zeke had given her an apartment in his building so she could have a freedom and space, but the original plan is to stay with him in his own house. We're supposed to play to new couple who move in together and Zeke was thoughtful enough to know sometimes she needed her space just as he needed his too.
She was reorganizing her dishes when there came a knock on the door. She opened it, thinking it was the movers.
“You really should be more careful who you open the door to,” Zeke teased. He stood in the hallway with fresh flowers as he leaned against the door frame looking cocky and sexy.
“I shouldn’t let you in?” she asked, reaching for the flowers.
“You should let me in,” he agreed. “But you didn’t know it was me.”
“Says you.” She held open the door and went to put the flowers in a vase. These ones were red roses and they somehow smelled even better than the ones from before. It took her a minute to locate her spare flower vase. If he kept bringing her flowers like this, she was going to run out of places to put them.
“What do you think of the apartment?” he asked her, looking around...
“Its better than I could ever imagine,” she told him as she arranged the flower stems to best show off the blossoms. “And the apartment is perfect. The elevator ride is about ten seconds and I have an amazing view.”
She turned from the sink and smiled at him.
“Thank you,” she said, taking a step toward him.
“I’m glad you like it,” he replied. His eyes watched her and although his mouth didn’t smile, his eyes did. So you're ready?
“For?” Blair asked, not quite understanding.
“I cleaned out a drawer for you,” he replied. “We are supposed to look like we’re moving in together. I already made a deal with a reporter I trust to get the news about us out there in a respectful way. We need someone to write a convincing article about the two of us to get our story out there. Of course there will be doubts and more article that debunks the original article that states You're my live in girlfriend but we can make it work”He says with a dead serious look on his face
“Right.” Her heart fluttered. This was what she came here for, this was her job and her part of the contract. He had cleaned out a drawer. No one had ever done that for her. Even though it was all fake, it still felt like this was something important.
“So you ready? Only if you want,” he continued. “I don’t want to push you.”
“Let me grab some things,” she told him. She grinned and ran off to her new bedroom. It only took a moment to throw some socks, underthings, and pajamas into a bag. She added a comfortable dresses, skirts, pants and some t-shirts so she could have something easy to wear. Even though it was only two floors down, she didn’t want to do the walk of shame if she didn’t have to.
“That’s it?” Zeke asked when he saw her small bag. She had actually taken out a sweater thinking it might be too much.
“Yea"she told him. She wasn’t sure just how big the drawer was. If she had space, she would bring up more. It wasn’t like she had to go far.
“Okay.” He smiled and held her door open for her. In the elevator he scanned his fingerprint. Hers was in the system now too. She could ride up and down to the penthouse using her own thumb.
Zeke hurried to the door and pressed his palm to the sensor. She now had access to that, too, but it was nice that he was being chivalrous. He held the door open for her as she stepped inside.
The apartment was just as she remembered it. Clean white lines and modern design. She loved the warm light coming in through the windows and the way she could see everything from up here. The two floors, as well as the wrap-around windows really did make a difference to the view.
She stepped inside and found herself staring at expensive art pieces hanging on his wall. Awards for business related purposes, there were trophies too!
"Wow"She whispered..
He looked at her like she had two heads for a moment before motioning down a hallway. “This way.”
They walked through a gourmet kitchen where Blair could see a wine fridge as well as every kitchen gadget she’d ever heard of. She didn’t linger long as she didn’t want to lose sight of Zeke. The apartment was as big as many houses she had only dreamnt about or seen in a celebrity tv show or reality show..
They went to the master bedroom. A giant bed dominated the middle of the room with soft gray furniture on the sides. It reminded Blair of a spa she’d once been to only she didn't go there for spa treatments but to deliver pizza to the staff. Everything in the room was warm, soft, and comfortable.
Zeke made sure she was still with him as he went to the master closet. He opened the door and she did her best not to gasp.
The closet was bigger than her old bedroom.
“This side is yours,” Zeke explained, motioning to a series of empty shelves. She could fit her entire wardrobe and then some in the space he had just given her.
“This is a bit more than a drawer,” Blair said, taking a step inside. Her small bag of things felt pitiful now. She should have brought the sweater.
“I want you to be comfortable,” he replied with a shrug.
“Where did you put your things?” she asked. Opposite her shelves were matching ones, only filled with dark leather shoes, suits and various other clothing.
“It was all last season.” Her eyes got big and he laughed. “I didn’t really have much there. All I need are suits for work, gym stuff, and a couple of things to wear to the beach. It wasn’t hard to condense.”
“Thank you,” she whispered, looking back at her new closet space.
“Of course,” he replied. He checked his watch. “I’m afraid I have to get to work. Will you be alright by yourself?”
“Yes,” she assured him. Then she stopped and gave him a naughty grin. “What if I said I wouldn’t be?”
“Then I would cancel my very important meeting with one of my biggest shareholder who actually hates my gut and stay with you.” He narrowed his eyes. “You aren’t going to make me stay, are you? It really is kind of important.”
“No, I won’t,” she promised with a laugh. “I’ll save it for when I really need you to stay with me.”
He grinned at her. “I’ll be home in late hours so Any preference for dinner?”
“Your pick,” she said. “I don’t know what your kitchen looks like or where the nearest grocery store is.”
“You don’t have to cook. Unless you want to. There’s a menu hanging in a binder on the fridge. Look through it. The chef will make it for us.”
“The chef?” Blair asked.
“Yes, the chef. I don’t have time to make my own healthy meals every night,” he told her. “So pick something, and we’ll have dinner tonight. Here.”
She loved the way he looked at her. Like dinner at home with him was something worth looking forward to.
“Okay.” Her stomach did the happy flutter again. “I’ll see you then. You should get going or you’ll be late.”
“Maybe I just don’t want to leave,” he said softly. Her heart trembled.
“I don’t really want you to either,” she whispered back. “But, you did say it was important. And, I’ll make it worth your while after dinner.”
His eyes lit up. “That sounds like a perfect idea.”
He leaned over and kissed the top of her head. She warmed from the touch of his lips straight down to her toes.
“Have fun unpacking,” he said, and then quickly turned and headed out the door
Blair watched him go, her heart beating fast. Unpacking was nice, and she was looking forward to a delicious meal, but it was the after-dinner activity that she was most excited about...
A part of her was scared about mixing pleasure to their arrangements but It's an attraction she doesn't want to deny or ignore. At least bedding him won't be difficult because they have chemistry..
But she needed to remind herself about what Mr Thorne said. He did say lots of things..
Money open many doors and it did for her. As she stared at herself in the mirror she couldn't recognize herself. She had undergone a complete makeover, her hair that used to be covered in sweat and grease miserably bummed on top of her head in an hair net is now falling so softly around her shoulders and it had an amazing shine to it. The hairstylist was super expensive but did magic. Her clothes were in her wardrobe and even the one she was putting on were worth millions of dollars, am amount she couldn't even dare dream about.
She had an apartment to her name, she could sell it or put it up for rent and it would bring in millions of dollars.. As thankful as she was, the real game had just started.
Soon the world would hear about her, she would be judged if she was the right fit for Zeke Armani the billionaire, critized by the people and press. Her stomach quivers when she thinks of the reality of what she had agreed to but this was the path she choose!
She would try her best to enjoy the best and good part of it, the juicy part is she couldn't wait to taste Zeke!
Hermes P.O.VThe brochure he was holding in his hand gave full details of how Ms. Laurel Vasilakis who was once the girlfriend of Hermes Vasilakis is now married to Zion Vasilakis the only living heir of the Vasilakis wealth!Only?Well they should think again! He just knew If he didn't go ahead with his plans Zion would have never shown this side of himself!Laurel, oh Laurel? That golddigging cunt!!After everything I had done for her, sponsored her education, gave her everything she wanted she had the guts to fuck my brother and get pregnant for him and now she's portraying the pregnancy as mine. What in hells gate is going on!I guess the feud between us will be never ending. Zion Vasilakis and Hermes Vasilakis had always been on each other throats, well things hadn't always been like that between the two of us. We had been close when we were younger untill after the incident when we had been kidnapped by one of our father’s rivals, thankfully we were able to escape but I got shot
Zion’s P.O.V.“Why did you both not attend the wedding reception boy "His father's angry voice rang out the phone."Laurel isn't quite in the right state of mind to attend any gatherings"He says sternly dreading the other bitter part of why he had called his father."Zion, is there something you aren't telling us, because it seems we are missing something"He says coldly, obviously the way Laurel had kissed him during the wedding had surprised not only his parents but his guests. He was supposed to be her protector and not her real husband."This issue is quite a sensitive one, and it's complicated"He says.“Hell, boy,” his father said. “I have time for complicated.”Funny, because he rarely seemed to have time for anything but indulgence, but now that there was a hint of a scandal, he had time. He banished that thought. “It will not make you happy,” he said, and something dark and gleeful rose up inside of him.“Don’t tell me the babies are not Hermes” his father said with a tone of
Zion's P.O.V.A hush fell inside of him and for a second he went completely cold!Sure the uncertainty about the parternity of the twins were in doubts because of their nights togeth he simply can't believe they are his!At least that's what he thought two seconds ago up until she said she had been a virgin when he took her that night! She could be lying. But why? They were married already. It made no earthly sense for her to tell him this now.The children were his and she was his wife already so she has no reason at all to lie but be transparent. He could see relief on her face when she finally told him.So they were not for HermesShe had never slept with Hermes .He could finally see from her point of view, the world believed that the children were his brother’s, because that was what had been reported. Because nobody knew that the two of them had ever been together. But apparently, he was the only one she had ever been with.It seemed impossible. Almost laughably so.“Do not li
Laurel's P.O.V.Laurel's world has been titling sideways and out of her control.Zion is practically in control now! When they arrived in Greece it had been dark, they had hopped on the Vasilakis private airplane and she hadn't even mind because she needed peace and quiet while she thought of her way of escape.During the flight he had instructed her to try and sleep and she was well attended to by the air hostess on board. It surprised her that she had managed to sleep. Given the time change, and the fact that she was so uncomfortable because of the pregnancy. After their long and rigorous flight they arrived at the family Vila, she was directed to a room to rest up and Laurel didn't say a word because she needed even more sleep. When she woke the next morning, she took in the beauty of the villa for the first time. It was quiet the sight. It looked so exquisitely ancient and yet expensive. She couldn't even count the amount of statues that were beautiful structured in the estate.Ev
Laurel’s P.O.V.She could feel and see the fear and strong sense of duty in his eyes.Suddenly she felt claustrophobic, Morgan was in shock for the rest of the evening. Was this a blessing or a curse? She had tried to avoid the fate of being a single mum and so she preserved her virginity until marriage but then just one mistake, just one occurrence she allowed herself indulge in brought her into this mess! She can't even call it a triangle because everything is so freaking messed up, Hermes was the nation beloved Billionaire Boy, the influence he had even in death no one could compare. Now all just for one mistakes she's involved in this cluster of a mess. What will people think of her when they find out the child was for Zion Vasilakis and not Hermes Vasilakis. To top it all they had had a very public relationship and she had tried not to mind it because she was so Inlove and grateful for the fact that a man like Hermes could date someone like her, imagine what the world would think
Zion's P.O.V.Zion knew he should let the man see to his business, but he could not help himself. He wished to be in the room. He wished to be there to hear everything. And he told himself it was a necessity. A responsibility. One that his parents had left to him. Along with the innumerable other responsibilities that fell in his lap.The business, everything else. But he just wanted to be there. That was the truth of it.When he led the man up to the room, along with the nurse, and the ultrasound equipment, and knocked, it took a while for him to get a response. And then when he did, he could not hide his reaction. Not even in front of the doctor.Because when Laurel answered the door, she was bright red and scrubbed clean, as if she had been in a warm bath. And she was wearing nothing but a white robe. When she saw him, her eyes widened. “Oh.”“The doctor’s here,” he said.“All right.” She blinked. “I see.”“Do not worry, child,” the doctor said. “I have a great amount of experience
Laurel's P.O.V.She had to let him in, she was so dumbfounded by what Zion had just said.."So you were pregnant with Hermès baby and you refused to say a word nor inform his family about it"Zion says angrily, She had never seen him this angry before. His brother’s child? Is that what he thought this is?But surely he knew...She looked up at his face, and it was clear that he didn’t know. "You're coming with me”He says."My parents were thrilled when they found out you were pregnant and now they want you home"He says sternly.."Home?"She stutters..."But this is my home..."She says preplexed and shocked, her world was literally reeling."We saw the news article about you"He continues to say, suddenly all his words seems so rushed. Aurora could barely understand what was going on.“An article?, What article?“It was in the tabloids just yesterday.”He replies, suddenly his facial expression changed from anger to worry. Probably he noticed how white faced she was looking now.“So you h
Few months later....Zion's P.O.V."Have you seen this?”His father loud voice resonates loudly in his study as he breezes in like he owned the damn place. Well he did technically! He slammed the magazine brochure on his desk, just as he was about to engage in another heated banter like he had been doing his eyes caught the headlines on the Hot Gossip section and his blood ran cold.“The Late Hermes Vasilakis Lover Tries to Hide Baby Bump"He was taken aback "This can't be true"He murmurs to his father but his father looked so happy and excited and all Zion felt was stillness.. Zion was frozen, For one moment, he had seen her and he’d forgotten. Everything. That she had been Hermes and that she was not only his.And he had possessed her even if it was just a night or two!For just a moment a sense of total possessiveness had drowned out everything. There, she was pregnant looking confused and devastated! Is she okay? And that night of the funeral loomed large in his mind. His hands on
Laurel's P.O.VAll the bones in her body were screaming the word "No"!She knew whatever was going to happen will be yet another terrible Reoccurrence! With their history together she doubts this was just a simple ride home, she knew going with him was a mistake. He wasn’t just going to give her a ride home.Or maybe he was. But considering their history together he wasn’t going to simply drop her and leave her and this was something she knew, something she knew innately now because she’d crossed that threshold from innocent to woman who knew now.The question now is does she have the power to deny him! Could she say no to him?Few minutes later they arrived at her place he did drive her home without saying a word.“My apartment is quite small compared to what you're used to,”She says as soon as they were out on the sidewalk. But her words were cut off by his kiss. Hard and dark and she wanted to weep because this was what she’d needed all day.She knew it was shameful, she knew this w
