"Why is she here?"

Lucia walked out of campus and hailed a cab.

" to the Panda B club please. "

As the car moved, she looked out the window at the scenery. It was sunny at the moment. The car drove for about an hour and a half.

" we're here ma'am." the driver said.

" oh... thank you." she paid the fare and got down. As she looked at the magnificent building before her, for a moment she felt like going back to campus. As she thought that, Pablo's face surfaced in her mind as well. She mastered courage and entered the building. As she neared the reception area she could see the clubs lounge right behind it. And there where a group of people gathered there,talking probably about business.

As she got nearer to the receptionist, she could feel a lot of eyes on her. And she was right. They do not know who among them noticed her first, but as they were chatting, one of them raised his head to look in the direction that Lucia was coming from and then he became quiet all of a sudden. The rest of the men sitting with him looked up as well, seeing that he kept quiet suddenly. Then they saw Lucia as well.

Today Lucia was wearing a V-neck shirt and a pair of tight jeans. Her legs were slender and straight, while her long seaweed-like hair was tied into a fish bone braid. She had a cold aura and looked elegant and calm. She looked like a young student, as She didn't wear any expensive accessories, but she was the most eye-catching person in the crowd of people walking in and out of the club.

The receptionist saw her approach her desk and she smiled at her. Although Lucia wasn't dressed like how the ladies that normally come here are dressed, she knew not to look down on her, as anybody that came here literally wasn't someone she could afford to offend.

" Hello, welcome to socialite club o2 . Are you here to register with us, or you're here to meet someone?"

Lucia nodded politely at her." Hello... I'm Lucia Acosta. I'm here to meet Mr. Guenté. He knows I'm coming."

" okay. Mr. Guenté is here... He's in the lounge over there." Then she pointed at the lounge behind her. As Lucia raised her head she saw that the group of men there were looking over at her.

" He's the one in the middle." then the receptionist pointed at a pretty young man sitting in the middle. He was the prettiest, like a delicate flower. He had a gentle and handsome appearance, with a pair of gold-rimmed glasses on the bridge of his nose. This was… the director?

Lucia’s eyes showed undisguised surprise and hesitation. She didn't think he was this young. She had thought he would be at least fifty to sixty years old.

As she checked him out, Ivan also looked at the young lady coming towards them. As he was about to confirm if his guess was right, Guston exclaimed " Is this not the woman we gave to first brother yesterday? " why is she here?"

Ivan then understood everything. So she was the one whom they were helping? He didn't think Leon would actually move this fast in seeking the girl out. With this thought he raised his brow as he smiled.

Lucia approached them and greeted" hello"

As soon as she spoke and before Ivan could respond, Guston stood up and shook hands with her. " Hello, I'm Guston. Nice to meet you."

"Hello, I'm Lucia." Lucia looked at this man she just greeted and thought, this guy was really hyper.

He was tall and handsome as well. But his appearance made him look like a frivolous person. Well, she came here for Pablo. If these men make other demands apart from helping her, then she'll just go back.

Ivan looked at Lucia introduce herself to Guston and he thought she wasn't bad.

She had a very humble disposition. And he hoped she wouldn't disappoint them. With this thought he stood up as well.

" Hello. You must be Pablo's guardian. "

" I'm Ivan Guenté. Nice to finally meet you."

" Lucia. Nice to meet you director."

I came here because doctor Gabby said you wanted to know more about my brother's condition from me. " She went straight to the point as soon as she got the chance.

You could see that she really knew what she wanted. And she was straight forward.

He looked at his watch and said." why don't we talk over lunch?" It's lunch time already."

Lucia looked at the time and said" sure"

Then Ivan bid his friends goodbye and led the way to the top floor of the building.

" second brother let me tag along as well. " Guston said as he followed them.

Ivan did not object to this. As he wanted Lucia to feel comfortable with him. He didn't want to scare first brother's only hope away.

After entering the restaurant the enthusiastic Guston pulled up a chair for Lucia.

" Miss. Lucia, Please sit down.”

" thank you" and with that she sat down.

Guston sat beside her and Ivan took the seat opposite them. The ordered a few dishes and began eating as Guston made small talks with Lucia.

As Ivan listened to them, he looked at Lucia with interest as he listened to the kind of answers she gave to Guston's questions. This young lady was rather interesting. It looks like she knows what she wants and she does what's to her best ability to attain it. She was beautiful too, which was a plus for her. Even if she wasn’t dressed up, her original beauty couldn’t be hidden.She looked to be in her early twenties. Maybe two to three years younger than Leon. She had exquisite facial features and glowing skin.Even if he had met many beautiful people before, he still felt amazed. After looking at her for a moment, he smiled and asked, “Ms. Lucia, so doctor Gabby said everything is ready for the surgery, except for the blood. She nodded . “ yes. And I appreciate it that Mr Guenté could help us with that as well. ”

" My brother has been waiting for two years just to an RH negative blood.Lucia asked without hesitation, “Is there any change to his condition?" I know Mr Guenté has seen my brother's folder and you should know how things are so far concerning his health."

Ivan took a sip of water and said “ I can see that Miss Lucia is very smart. It has indeed changed a little.” Lucia immediately became nervous. “How…”

“ You don't have to panic. it's not something that can't be handled. He has actually already missed the best surgery period is what I'm trying to say.”

Lucia frowned when she heard this. Doctor Gabby didn't tell her this.

Ivan saw what she was thinking and said" please it's not what you're thinking. Doctor Gabby just didn't tell you this because he knows just like I do that it's not something that he can't handle. Don't worry."

Lucia finally loosened up after hearing what he said. " so how soon can the surgery proceed?"

" There's one person here in Panda B whose blood is a 90% match to Pablo's."

When Lucia heard this she looked up in surprise. " Really?"

" eehhrm.... Miss Lucia, yes but there's a little problem. He's out of town at the moment. He'll probably be back in two weeks time."

Lucia felt as if life was playing tricks on her and her brother. But… Even if she only had one percent hope, she could not give up. Pablo was her only close kin in this world.No matter what method was used, she would fight for him. After a moment of contemplation, Lucia looked at him , “Mr Guenté, can you give me that person’s contact information?” I would like to talk to him personally and find out how soon he'll be able to get back." A look of delight flashed across Ivan's eyes very quickly, but he pretended to look uncomfortable. After a few seconds of silence, he nodded and said, “Well, I’ll give you his contact information and address. But when you meet him, can miss Lucia not mention me?”

When Guston heard this he laughed." haha, he's afraid of second .... aahh"

Before Guston could finish, Ivan kicked him under the table. Lucia looked at him puzzled but he didn't continue. Anyway she was delighted. “Thank you!”She didn't know that she was already knee -deep in this sly business men's plot.
