Chapter 10

　　\"Mr. Migs Lopez?\"

　　Suddenly, someone on the side shouted.

　　The two looked where the voice comes from and they saw a gentleman in a suit and leather shoes with gold-rimmed glasses, standing not far away.

　　\"John Smith?\"

　　\"Sir?\"

　　As soon as they said it in unison, they withdrew their gazes. Their eyes met and looked at each other, but there was a little surprise in their eyes.

　　Migs retracted his hand and stood upright.

　　Maria stood up straight and fixed her clothes.

　　John walked towards the two of them and smiled warmly. But his eyes fell on Maria, \"Maria, when did you come back? Why didn\'t you tell me?\"

　　Maria shrugged and smiled heartily, \"I came back yesterday on my best friend\'s engagement ceremony. I stayed with her for a day, and I haven\'t had time to tell you.\"

　　\"That\'s it. It\'s been a long time since I saw you.\"

　　John stretched out his hand and pushed the gold-framed glasses, stepped forward, spread his arms, and his tender and fiery eyes were on Maria which made her feel a little uncomfortable. Although she also felt warm.

　　Maria smiled slightly, opened her arms to give him a a friendship hug, and then let go.

　　\"Long time no see, the boss is handsome again.\" She praised him generously.

　　\"You are still so good at talking.\", John rubbed her head as his eyes full of pampering.

　　Seeing the two of them chatting in full swing, Migs\'s face grew gloomy who was left hanging by the side.

　　The fisted hand was placed in front of his lips, he cleared his throat, and coughed softly, \"Cough cough...\"

　　John retracted his eyes and looked at him, \"Migs, why are you here? You...know?\" He raised his eyebrows and suddenly remembered the scene he saw just now and wondered in his heart.

　　\"Ben had an allergy attack, so I took him to the hospital.\" After that, Migs glanced at the woman next to him, \"This is a long story, so I\'ll talk about it later. By the way, didn\'t you go to Europe? Why did you come back today?\"

　　John had something to do and went to Europe a few days ago, so he wasn\'t able to attend the engagement ceremony yesterday.

　　Therefore, he did not meet Maria who attended the engagement banquet.

　　\"I came back after I settled everything. One of my students was hospitalized with a terminal disease. I came to see him, but I didn’t expect to meet you here.\" They may be destined to see each other today.

　　\"How is Ben? Is he okay?\", he asked.

　　Speaking of Ben, Migs glanced at Maria coldly with inexhaustible disgust in his eyes.

　　He shook his head, \"I don\'t know. He\'s still in the emergency room.\"

　　Not long after, Ben was pushed out of the emergency room and transferred to the VIP ward with IV fluid hanging beside his bed.

　　Seeing that Ben was fine, except that little red rashes appeared all over his body, Migs sat in the escort chair and stayed with him every step of the way.

　　For a moment, watching him feel so distressed about his son, Maria felt that Migs should be regarded as a good father.

　　However, even a good father does not necessarily mean he\'s a good man.

　　\"Go home first. I\'ll stay here to accompany Ben.\"

　　There was silence in the ward, and Migs spoke first.

　　\"Okay. I\'ll leave first but call me if something happens.\" John walked up to Migs and patted him on the shoulder. \"The doctor said he\'s okay. Don\'t worry too much.\"

　　Maria pulled her lips and wanted to say something, but she didn\'t say anything and followed John and left the room.

　　Looking at the little boy lying on the hospital bed, she felt more or less distressed and guilty.

　　The two walked out of the ward and into the elevator.

　　John asked, \"How did you meet Migs?\"

　　\"Ahm. He\'s my best friend\'s fiancé.\"

　　\"Oh, what else can I say.\", John nodded thoughtfully, and then asked, \"I just returned here. Where do you live now?\"

　　Maria smiled and said, \"I haven\'t had time to find a house yet. I\'m living in a hotel now.\"

　　\"I just have a new job, but I\'m still the same as before.\".

　　John shook his head and smiled. \"I happen to have an apartment for rent downstairs. The price is not expensive. Would you like to check it out?\"

　　\"Really? Not far?\"

　　\"At Matilda Road.\"

　　\"Great. I\'m worried about finding a house.\"

　　Maria was overjoyed.

　　She knew that based on John\'s personality; the environment would not be too bad as long as she was willing to live. \"Do you have time today? If you have time, would you take me to see the house? If not, just give me the address and I can ask my assistant to see it.\"

　　\"No problem. I\'m done now.\"

　　The two left the hospital and walked to the front of the hospital.

　　When Maria saw the fruit shop and nutrition shop across the road, he suddenly thought of something.

　　He said to John, \"Can you wait for me for a while? I want to buy something and have it delivered.\"

　　\"Well, no problem.\"

　　Girls are more sensitive, but men are not good at buying things.

　　\"Okay, I\'ll be fast.\"

　　Maria smiled at John, crossed the road immediately, bought a fruit basket and returned to the ward with it.

　　Standing outside the ward panting, he reached out and knocked on the door.

　　Not long after, the door of the ward opened.

　　Migs stood in front of the ward, scanning Maria with cold eyes and feeling unhappy, \"What else are you here for?\"

　　\"I just bought some fruits for Ben. Anyway, it was my mistake that made him suffer and I feel sorry about it.\"
